Glad it helped. I have a 70 StarCraft Jupiter that leaks about 4 gallons per day. You made major improvements. Don't listen to the jokers giving you crap. Good job!
If you have the bait bare like that just remove and replace the rivets. You can even go one size larger. And put glue on the rivets. A loose rivet will get looser and not only destroy the hole size but also destroy rivets around it
I would like to hear a follow up on the gluvit as i just bought some and getting ready to do my boat. I have a small 13' sears gamefisher and concerned about the yield. Will a quart be enough? Its not cheap with todays costs
I'm glad I found this video... I just talked to a couple boat shop guys today about that glove it because I have a starcraft "leakcraft" also. And I asked if I could stop these leaks by putting good heavy coats all over the inside of Hall just like you did and they both told me I can and it's not a bad idea but I really need to tape off the bottom of the boat so it will look nice and paint that shit on real heavy on outside.... I'm going to do both and do what you did also. Hopefully this works.
Now that some time has passed whats your opinion on the gluvit? I am prepping right now to use it on my little 13' lake boat. Any other tips other than whats in the video. How is it holding up. Thank you
Great video. I was wondering how long this lasted for you. From the other comments I know it did not completely stop the leak but helped it out. I have the same problem. Thanks
worked out very well. did not completely stop leaks but I can now be on the water all day and only run my pump twice. Much better than running it every 1/2 hour
It worked out very well. I highly recommend it. I use to have to pump out about 5 gallons every 45 minutes and now I can be on the water for 8 hours and pump out about 5 gallons. Great improvement.

could be
How did the Gluvit work out I have an old Starcraft as well with a few tiny leaks looking for options?
worked out very well. did not completely stop leaks but I can now be on the water all day and only run my pump twice. Much better than running it every 1/2 hour
could you use it to coat individual rivets from the bottom or outside of the hull
they claim you can
How did it hold up?
a few years later and it's doing pretty good.
@@Michaelsbackyardmarina thanks
U fix your roof leaks from inside your house to?
Thanks for watching. It worked and I didn't want to repaint the outside of the boat.
Thank You!
I just bought a boat that needs some tuning up.
I just passed the Utah Boating Course,
So now I have a new title! "Captain Carpman"
congratulations on that.
Can you use it on painted surfaces or just bare metal?
I would say bare metal is the best way for it to be used.
I have a 14” aluminum MontgomeryWard sea king it’s not painted should I polish it first then add Gluvit? Or it doesn’t matter ?
Any instruction on spray application?
I think there is. Look up Gluvit and it should say.
How did this end up working out?
It worked out very well. I highly recommend it. I use to have to pump out about 5 gallons every 45 minutes and now I can be on the water for 8 hours and pump out about 5 gallons. Great improvement.
@@Michaelsbackyardmarina 5 gallons in 8 hours does not sound to good to me lol
@@garyford9459 maybe 2 coats would"ve sealed the deal
