  • Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by the granddaughter of the late Fawlty Towers star Andrew Sachs, Georgina Baillie, to discuss her controversial history with Russell Brand and to give her opinion of the allegations made by women against him.
Georgina, who was the centre of what was known as 'Sachsgate' in 2008 after Brand and Jonathan Ross left her grandfather a voicemail revealing her sexual relationship with Brand, believes that victims need to be heard and that she sympathises as a victim of sexual abuse herself.
However she also tells Piers Morgan that after knowing Russell for so long, she finds it difficult to see him as someone who could have done these things.

Fortunately they only have 3 yools in that tool box, "pound metoo", "you're a nazi" or " you did the illegal thing we've been doing". The thing about the whole Sachsgate scandal is that Russell quite obviously took the fall for what was essentially Ross’s doing. You heard in that clip that it was in-fact Jonathan Ross who said ‘he fucked your granddaughter!’ and not Russell.

Exactly. He was lionised for his lecherousness, it was his shtick, he modelled it in plain sight on stage and on television chat shows, he wrote a book about his excesses and proclivities. He now uses his intellect to rail against systemic corruption. Folly to idolise the guy in either incarnation, but such an irony that the very sector that endorsed him is orchestrating to bring him down. Sexual assault allegations are a matter for police prosecution and the courts, public allegations only jeopardise due process of the law. No doubt civil suits will ensue. By then the real objective of destroying a dissident public figures reputation will have been achieved.

I really hope one day Morgan gets trapped, and then we can have people on and almost waterboard them to get them to say fake claims.
He really twisted every last screw in the hope she would say that Russell attacked her , you could literally see him getting more and more desperate when the only thing bad was a radio show where Jonathan Ross actually said the worst thing.
That of course doesn't fit Morgans sleazy little brain , he pushes for more , in the end all he got was her to say he treated her well and made up for the radio show , which actually shows he has a very decent heart , Morgan then had to end it with how bad the radio show was despite her saying he had made up for it.

Hence, THEY (the journalists) approached the women.
It's not like it happened 100 years ago. It was relatively recently and although YES, we can blame his TV employers for turning a blind eye, we cannot blame the women OR the journalists for the "timing".

I thought what he'd done to Georgina was disgraceful i.e. openly boasting about their relationship and the knock on effect the publicity had on her relationship with her Grandfather. Jonathan Ross got away with his contribution to the discussion scotfree and both were part of the establishment media at the time and therefore, she was villianised in the newspapers while they were both protected to an extent. It's nice though to hear that he made amends for his wrong doing by paying for her rehabilitation. That makes me think better of him and the fact is that Georgina is cool with him now. All this video shows ME, is that SOMEONE has it in for this guy! (Being outspoken has its repercussions?)
Piers needs a panel made up of women who have dated COMEDIANS. Most of the comedians who are sexually explicit when they're "on stage", are not that vibrant when they're off stage! I think what Miley Cyrus was when she was "on stage', was quite vulgar and only appealed to males looking to see what they wanted to see. Dolly said " try to understand her, she's a devout Christian." Ha-and "actress'" t'boot; GIVE HIM A BREAK---HE'S A COMEDIAN! What's good for the goose, SHOULD be good for the gander, shouldn't it ? And FEMALES ? when you say "no" or "stop" MEAN it .and stop placing yourself in "compromising positions.!" It's appearing s though we've got another Stormy Daniels Fantasy here-a girl raped several times at the age of nine, to "grow up" to not be able to distinguish the difference between rape and consensual sex ("Sixty Minutes Interview")
By the way , isn't it time lie detector tests become accepted as evidence in a courtroom?

Because making these accusations is as damaging to the women as it is to the accused. It isn't a course taken lightly and in the vast majority of cases it isn't taken to Police at all. There are a small number of false allegations, at times, but these are readily exposed.

@@GinaSeay-kn7xr It's not as damaging to the women when no one knows who they are. Right now they're just a bunch of question marks, and it looks like it'll stay that way.
We can't just believe all women when they suddenly decide, donkey's years later, that so-and-so famous person SA'd them.
If they really wanted to put these men away, then they'd go straight to the police after it happened so that they can collect forensic evidence to use against the person in court. Not run to the *media* a decade later saying 'he did this, he did that.' Pointless. You're never going to get anywhere with that method because the window to provide any proof will have long passed, and all you're left with is a bunch of hearsay.
And I don't know where you got the idea that there are a 'small number of false allegations ' and that these are 'readily exposed'? The number of false allegations towards men is actually large, and growing all the time. There are a large amount of men behind bars having their lives taken away as we speak because some women have been believed with no evidence.
So as hard as it may be for *actual* victims to come forward soon after the SA has taken place, it's what they need to do to be taken seriously. There are far too many false allegations these days which is why evidence is everything in these situations now. If we were to just take every last women at her word, the number of falsely accused men behind bars would be astronomical, and it's already high enough as it is.

Highly impressive! She should be the first witness that Brand has called on his behalf. She was mixed up and he was mixed up; they were addicts together. I'm not the biggest Russell Brand fan, but he is bringing enlightenment to the world. Ms Baillie has approached the whole issue with maturity, poise, class, responsibility and reality. Brand's many enemies will hate her and try to force her to shut up. It's hard to have a nice Hit Job when an accuser paints you as a real human being, with issues and weaknesses. When someone whom you think has done you wrong puts you through rehab, it makes it hard for others to make you out as a villain.
She clearly states that she doesn't see Brand as a rapist. At her age, then and now, she could spot the difference and she's made her call. Russell acted the fool when he called her grandfather, Andrew Sachs, and she's forgiven him. The only 2 parties to this case are Brand and Baillie and they both point to the fact that Brand was a sex addict but not an abuser. This case is pretty much closed. It won't see court and I hope that Russell Brand sues the media scum for a hundred million pounds, especially the swine at youtube.

A formal statement from a hospital? Where are your witnesses? *Credible* ones, not a bunch of other women like you who "forgot" all about it for decades, only to pop up now and cry "me too!". Can they prove they *actually* witnessed the fact? Can you prove anything at all, for that matter?
99% of the allegations made by "me too" and similar movements turned out to be utterly fabricated. Women accusing men of sexual misconduct are at the top of the list in every statistic of false reporting of crimes, everywhere in the Western world.
And don't even get me started with "most women don't report sexual crimes for fear of not being believed and for fear of being shamed": women's allegations are taken at face value, nowadays; where do you think we are living? Afghanistan? In the Middle Ages?

The Sachs 'scandal' was another case completely manufactured by the media. Two presenters behaving like silly schoolboys was hardly a school massacre, but it got the same level of coverage as though it was.
Plus, what people forget is that Andrew Sachs was due to do an interview on Brand's show and hadn't turned up. Brand was leaving a fairly polite message, when Jonathan Ross chipped in with his 'He fucked your granddaughter' comment. It was not particularly smart of them, but it was hardly the crime of the century either, and yet people behaved as though they had gone out of their way to be abusive and nasty towards a frail old man.

No, it wasn't manufactured. There was a lot of genuine outrage and huge numbers of complaints because he did go out of his way to be abusive and nasty to Sachs and to Baillie. That Sachs was supposed to do an interview does not excuse what happened. They left a series of messages about Brand having sex with her. They could have stopped at the first and apologized and their producer could have edited it out before broadcasting. It was bullying, misogynistic, and a massive invasion of privacy. It was appalling behaviour and it was right that they all had consequences for it.

@@xyzzdoe3674 The majority of complaints came from sanctimonious bandwagon jumpers who hadn't even heard it. Much of it was borne out of an already existing bias and envy towards both presenters, particularly towards Ross, due to his well-publicised wage packet at the time.
As I said, while it wasn't particularly smart of them, it was a trivial matter, overblown to sell papers etc. The level of coverage it received was ludicrous.
While those with nothing better to do may well have been outraged, those who hadn't had easy lives were either indifferent to it, or too busy at work to care.
It also invites the question as to what sort of family set-up results in a granddaughter ending up as a prostitute and in rehab for drug addiction. Also, it was not her family, but Brand himself who acted responsibly and paid for her to receive treatment for her addiction, something that was not publicised.

Russel has always admitted that he had bad habits and behaved badly .... Thatt was many years ago and i think he is now a decent, yes sometimes over the top man. I think some of his orevious sexual partners perhaps regret their own actions .... And are falling in with the 'new .morality' , which also fits with agendas that Russell Brand calls out.

Exactly it, and the CH4 guy who found these women to make these accusations, is being judge & jury over this, he then went on to say that misogynist stuff in 2000 is no longer acceptable in 2023. Its about the woke hard lefty lot running CH4 at the moment who don't like that Brand has 10 million more viewers than they have

Evidently these women had some bad habits and behaved badly as well. Birds of a feather.
