I can give a few reasons but some people are so obsessed with their idols they are not ready to analyse critically themselves or they are not ready to accept any criticism so there is no point in mentioning and listing them, it is like creating unnecessary banter which i am not interested in having one.
50 years hence, I continue getting goose bumps. A magical gift by RD, Majrooh and Kishore Da. Onscreen chemistry between Rajesh Khanna and Tanuja is so beautiful to watch and relish. Another 50 years, the song would be still as enchanting.

His wife Asha Bhosle said in many interviews that RD Burman used to get inspired from other music and create his own by putting his own things into it. Whom do you want to call a better music director A R Rahman? Barring some albuMs like Roja and Bombay, his rest of the music is not even worth listening to.
Maybe you can say jatin-lalit are original but they were also fans of RD Burman as said in their respective TH-cam channels.
