  • This Robot was inspired and based on Mattyu's solution robot, his robot spent 28 minutes to solve the Rubik's cube, however this is not about time when you start, Mattyus's algorithms and instruction are excellent. Then, I developed my Mattyu's adaptation and got 6 minutes last to solve the cube, please watch my video( • Rubik's cube solver Ro... ). This spinner cube robot now spent 30 seconds to solve with the implementing of Spinner Cube Robot -standard calibration-Normal speed.
I have other video showing my best time reached with spinner cube robot solver: 18 seconds; You can watch this video( • Cube Spinner -Rubik's ... )
Please Remember :this cube robot only use 3 stepper motor, so 18 seconds is good to perform 20-27 moves, however stepper motor have serious constrains to memorize home position.
    BOM
    -3 stepper motor nema 17
    -1 arduino uno
    -3 A4998 drivers
    -3 capacitors
    -jumpers
    -some wood pieces-some Lego piecr
    -glue and silicone
    - 1 Elastic band - hiper mega critical material!!!
    2US$ - 3US$ Rubik`s cube You do not need professional rubik's cube
-Resilience and Thousand of patient to calibrate and make more accurate the movements.

Spinner Cube is a LEGO's original and fantastic idea.
Code was developed based on Arduino open source shared code.
Python and openCV code was used for cube's stickers color recognition based on open source code and shared at Github.
    Next challenge
This robot prototype working in an infinite loop:
-taking pictures to the initial state automatically from a Python App
    -randomized scrambling from arduino,
    -solving,
-and the same actions again and again.

Hello, Python code is not available to share, however I am working on a tutorial adapting an App to make all this stuff as simple as possible . In the near future I will share tutorial and link. At this moment I am fixing the repeatibility of the zero position for the stepper motors and looking for 3D print modelling of some parts.

hey, could you tell us what you used to connect the stepper motors to the cube? what is that part called?

Hi, 3 lego's pieces and a rubber band, the idea is to install a break in only one direction of the cube.
