Beautiful! And you sound just like an instructor in Acrylics, she says it’s always a push and pull of the lights and darks. Your blog and these videos are awesome, I imagine your courses are amazing.
What kind of ink do you print with so it does smear when using copics? Or does it not smear because of the light color your printing with, it doesn't show?
I use an HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw. I'm sure there's a newer model of this same printer out now. Laser printers use heat-set toner instead of ink, so they're fully Copic safe no matter what color you print in. If you watch my "Tonic" video, the bottle is gray lined but the label of that digi prints as black. You can see me coloring right over the black areas with an E50 and there's absolutely no smearing. th-cam.com/video/7lS4xc2tUeg/w-d-xo.html BTW, I print in gray so that the lines disappear when we color over them. Real life objects do not have black outlines and your coloring projects get a realism boost when we hide the fake looking black stamp lines.
Ha! I love that I spend 12 minutes plus multiple other classes trying to say something and your art teacher did it in a single sentence! Perfect summation because we know so much less than we think we know.
Your videos are very satisfying you tell everything so detailed and nicely
Glad you like them!
It would be nice to also see your photo reference. I love the way you go about it.
Great suggestion, I'm not currently making videos but when I start up again, I'll try to add the reference.

I just love watching your videos. Thank you!
Thanks, Alta!!!
Mesmerizing to watch! Excellent voice over with instruction and explanation. Thank you Amy!
Glad you liked it, Cheryl!
Amazing! I can't wait to get to that level of coloring!
You'll get there!
Excellent advice once again Amy. God bless
Thanks Abi!!!
Amazing the difference going back over the gym balls makes. I found this fascinating (and very impressive!), as a beginner colourer.
I'm the same way. Projects look good with Copic but the pencil layer adds so much more, it even surprises me some times!
BEAUTIFUL & amazing, I just love these tutorials. THANK YOU Amy!!!
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Your gumball machine is gorgeous! I need to start coloring what I see not what I think!
That's music to my ears! Real life is so much more complex than our memories of it.
Thanks for sharing.
How come you only under colored a few of the gum drops?
I do ink them all but not here. The entire project is a full class taking several hours to watch everything.

My art teacher always said "Draw what you see, not what you know."
