Guys I think you should not be surprised about some dumps down and negative commends. Many other channels already started the same way with commercials. I'm just bored and I turn off the video. With this you achieve the opposite and you have only few viewers who watch the whole video. And that's not your profit either. I wish you good luck for the 2024, especially a very good health and a better hand for your videos!
I actually liked the way you demonstrated the equipment. Not every person is technically minded. Just looking forward to the progress on your boat now, fingers crossed.
Well done getting to your dry dock. You are very brave taking on such a big project, but I have faith in you both and will continue to follow with interest.
Exciting, can’t wait to see your video on the dry dock, I hear it takes at the least a minimum of 3 hrs to start draining out the water, it might be a long day but worth it. Good luck.
The startermotor seemed to be turningover nicely, after the long standing the bedix may just have been blocked by some rust, but you will easily see that when the thing is removed. I am looking forward to sseeing the next stage when you're getting into the drydock. Good luck, see you in your next video, oh and of course all the very best for 2024.
Thanks Peter we will strip it off and see if we can clean it up and get her running good as new. Dry dock in the next video can’t wait to see what’s under the waterline
Well we are three weeks into the new year, I know that the two of you are busy in dry dock with the boat. Hope everything is going well with your project. I’m sure we all would love to see your progress, cheers.
Take the starter of the engine and clean the dirt from the bending and then try the starter and make sure the bending is travelling out on the shaft if it is refit it and start your engine and brilliant work so far guys love from Milton keynes ❤
When you tried the starter motor it looked like you just shorted out the 2 large terminals on the solenoid this only sends power to the motor itself not the solenoid coil there should be another small blade terminal which also needs 12v positive to actually operate the solenoid to throw the gear out onto the starter ring onto the flywheel.. people are talking about the bendix sticking if this was the case there wouldn’t be a solenoid on top of the starter motor
With regard to your starter motor, it has a bendix, which is a helical slot that uses centrifugal force to push the starter gear into the flywheel. Sometimes debris or the return spring will stick, keeping it from engaging. Try cleaning and testing it free of the flywheel before just replacing.
if it was a bendix starter motor there wouldn't be a solenoid on top of the starter motor the electric solenoid is what throws the gear on to the starter ring and he didnt put power to it too it 12v supply needed he only shorted out the motor terminals
I was just thinking about you both this afternoon, congrats on the sponsor too. Wishing you all the best for the dry dock, I hope it all goes to plan and there and no unexpected horrors under the water line just waiting to spoil your day
That brought back memories, I used to manage some of the offices in the building next to where you moored your boat. 👍 Glad you made it let's hope getting into the yard will be as easy as your last trip. 😎
bully bully for you all three, had my doubts in the first few episodes that you would stick it out but you hung in there , I'm excited to see your boat up on chalks and inspecting the hulls and your finishing out the craft, loved the music in today's episode, thanks for taking us along
Thanks William! Your comment made our day!! Yes it’s chalking but we here for the long haul. We looking forward to next week’s episode when the real fun starts 😃
So,I guess by now the boat is in dry dock? I hope things are going well, hope there were no surprises on your hull. Can’t wait for your new post, cheers.
Hi both you need to cross the spade connection terminal on the solenoid to the positive supply to engage your starter. This will then cross the terminals you were doing with the screwdriver but it will engage the starter.
Enjoying your journey. One small point when jump starting with jumper packs or jump leads always connect Red first then Black, and Black first when disconnecting.
Hello. on the starter there is a solenoid on it there are two contacts, one large and the other small, they need to be bridged together then the gear will move out and start the engine.😄😄😄
I just got caught up. I haven’t received any notifications 😢 I resubscribe, so hopefully I’ll get notifications again. Getting into dry dock. Exciting times. Let’s sea what’s in store, for 20 24. 👍👍

When your boat is painted, protect the sides of your boat instead of fenders, with a piece of carpet on a rope, so you can enter a real narrow lock, without damaging your paint.

@@DuoVagari oh I'm sorry I didn't intend for it to be rude or disrespectful I was just trying to say that this is when the boating resumes love your channel and wish you both nothing but the best and success with your boat.
When it comes to starter it might not need replaced, from the spin sound it sounded pretty good and more than likely the spiral shaft that the little little cog slides back and forth on most likely has rust on on it or is dry , removing the starter then cleaning the spiral shaft with a little WD40 and a final oiling would get it working i think
@@DuoVagari Check you have it connected correctly. The solenoid cannot connect the motor unless it is fully engaged with the flywheel as the contacts won't make until it is. If the motor spins without it engaging then you have bypassed the solenoid.
That is one enormous project for you both to take on, been watching from the beginning and looking forward to see the progress once in dry dock, on a side note lady you are cute as
