Oooh - arty slow mo! I must get my bag out again and 11 litre pot on the stove - got some Maris Otter which needs using up and some random hops. Sometimes it’s good to go back to basics.

Love and needed this, i appreciate it, its very helpful. There was no mention of sterilising.sanitising the kettle?. Also I read that the lid shouldnt be put on as nasty chemicals need to escape or something like that???.

Great video. Did I miss you adding something to the bottles for secondary fermentation? Maybe for this brew you don't? Thanks

Hey! Yes we do add sugar to the bottles, in this case we used carbonation drops 👍🏻

Could I use an ink bird temp controller on the kettle to control the temperature instead of switching it off manually? Does the kettle work with the ink bird 308?

      The 308 won’t handle a 2.4kw element unfortunately… you’ll need to look
for an alternative solution or use a lower wattage element. We do 2kw low watt density ones which will work with the 308

Hi guys, are there any issues with firing the element while the bag is in there, no scorching?

    • @themaltmiller8438

As long as you are aware of what you are doing then you can avoid issues. For example, use a high quality grain bag, stir whilst the element is on and don't have it on for long periods of time.

Get a transparent fermentor and put hydrometer into it through whole fermentation process, so you dont have to open it to see what's going on.
