Major storm pounds East Coast after bringing severe weather to the Midwest and South

- Tens of millions were at risk for severe weather and flooding in the eastern part of the country after at least 16 tornadoes were reported in six states. One death was reported in Kentucky. NBC News' Maggie Vespa reports.

That tornado here in Louisville actually crossed the river from Indiana. The lady who barely got her family to safety is the friend to Marc Weinberg, my (and a lot of people's) favorite weatherman. Seeing him realize it was her house while still broadcasting live was something else. He never dropped the ball on his coverage for a second though. He's absolutely ON IT when it comes to any type of bad weather, and it's clear he genuinely cares not just about the weather, but all of us as well. He once caught a bunch of crap for interrupting a PGA event to broadcast storm coverage, and he addressed those people live on air telling them that people's safety is more important and he'll interrupt anything when there's severe weather. He's passionate, and we love him for that.

Well lets see,....when i was about 7 years old in 1980 i used to walk to school with the snow being up past my waist,...id make it most of the way by staying on top of the snowbanks that were street side.
Today we are getting 5 inches of snow and some wind...its called life where I live.
