Great interview. Such a nice bloke. Agree with what he said about the class system. Growing up in the 70's it was easy to put people into classes. I grew up on a council estate in Liverpool & London. Working class. These days there's a myriad of levels. And the so-called working class have TV's, internet, mobile phones and a fridge full of fucking food. It's just not so simple any more.
Jason is an artist. The term has baggage, but he's just a fella doing what he has to do, what he feels he needs/wants to do. Comes across really well - bright and level. Good on you fella, you've put some great things out there that makes us smile.

Yep, as a musician myself, pianist. If you want to go anywhere with the music you have to be brutally honest with yourself, keep working at it, develop come what may, whether there's money in it or not. It's a powerful, fulfilling path!

Ever told as a kid to not come back till you're sorry and mean it? That's what that pondering is, like a trained animal, thinks to deeply. Really probably just sat there thinking, 'wonder what that means?' Only just come across this guy, always sounds like he's really got it together, like he's cool, like he knows what fucking about with him is.

He reminds me of Weller in the way he speaks - always that cynical look towards the guy doing the interview. But he talks like he writes... great stuff.
Disagree with his "look" at the interviewer, I think the interviewer asks some good questions which Jason answers with honesty and doesn't show any indication of being p*ssed off with the question, that is the art of a good interviewer IMHO.

Not that I'm into Sleaford Mods, I do have respect for the guy doing his own thing. Another band that (their own sound) does simply that is Fat White Family. Hard to come by these days.
