- Max Verstappen has made it well know that he isn't a huge fan of being on F1's Drive To Survive and while he was in Australia preparing for the Grand Prix with Daniel Ricciardo, he revealed why he just doesn't want people to see inside his life.
Georgie Tunny caught up with both drivers.

If you think the narrative of F1 is like in the DTS or even Sky Sports, you're watching F1 wrong. To the real fans, Max is not an angry person, he's actually a reasonable driver than most, most drivers just take care of their "good image" too much and Max doesn't, that's why the media just do whatever they want and bully Max. He's actually a real cool guy, very sincere and genuine.
The whole 'they hate eachother' from DTS is so weird.
"Loyal DtS fans might not know" it, actual F1 fans do!
These two have a such an unique chemistry. For that reason along I wanna see them race in the same team!
Max hates to show himself in a private matter. He is very modest person who happens to be one best F1 drivers ever. That is something one can have a private discussion about with Max.
Next day he livestreams and P is "annoying" him a couple of times.

It's more a forced Media stuff. Especially since DtS did start their own naratives (i didn't watch the last seasons but the first 1 1/2 seasons were bad).
Max was recently fined by the FiA. CCTV footage showed him playing with his smartphone while driving in Bahrain.

The best F1 duo in history. By best I mean most likeable. They bring out something good in each other. I'm sure if Daniel would drive for RBR he would perform relatively better. Unfortunately I don't see it happening, even if Horner stays. Maybe Max should amend his contract again and state he would not leave if Daniel replaces Checo...

Let's face it, across global sport, the Dutch national anthem is very rarely heard so it's quite nice for them to get to hear it once in a while.
You forgot the Dutch fútbol in the past. World championships a s o.
aah look the exceptionalistic brits have arrived! Thinking you need to look down on others. We got multiple WC's in men and women, in track&field, roadcycling, fieldcycling, iceskating, waterpolo, fieldhockey, kickboxing, judo and many many more...so try again! Come to think of it, we got more Worldchampions than your country, and we only have a third of the population...how embarrassing for little toxic you.
We cracked in top 7 in Olypics 2021 mate. Only 18 mil people living here. behind: USA (332 Mil), China (1.4 bil), Japan (125 mil), UK (68mil), Russia (144 mil), Australia (25mil). I think we're doing fine on the National anthem front. And 6th in winter olypics 2022. In those 2 olympics combined, we heard the Dutch anthem as much times as the Australian anthem actually. So check your fact.

Her question about music being played to the drivers isn’t as silly as she thought. Not long ago there were drivers who had music piped into their headphones.
Not while on track, surely? They're in almost constant communication with their team, no time for music. And when they're in the garage in the car, they're going through technical stuff over the radio with the engineers.

@@thebobster9848DTS fan spotted! Max is incredibly sportsmanlike, he always congratulates other drivers even when his own race went absolutely terrible. For example, Baku 2021, Silverstone 2022, but pretty much every time. Stop crying about 1 on track moment

Hungary 2017 - Pushed team mate Danny Ric off the track and ended his race when DR got a better start and was ahead of him going into a turn.
Azerbaijan 2018 - Red Bull told their drivers to give each other racing room. DR did, Max didn't - all race. Max's 2 moves under brakes was of course the destructive conclusion.
Silverstone & Monza 21 - Max always puts his car where others have to yield to stop both of them crashing. Hamilton didn't yield on both occasions.
Brazil 22 - Refused team orders to let Checo secure 2nd spot in the championship, even though he was safe at No1.
Singapore 23 - Sits at the pit lane exit and holds everyone up during Q1.
There is no doubt he is an outstanding driver, but he is not a good sportsman.

I can't watch it. Maybe if it wasn't an entire year behind it would be better. I tried to watch the first episode when it came out and the most recent season's first episode. Had to turn them both off

the Dutch anthem is one the most beautifull anthems in the world. It is also the oldest (looking at song en text combined). So there is a lot of history, it is not patriotic, it is not about how great the Dutch are. It is just a ode to Willem the silent. The man who fought for the independence of the Lowlands and religious freedom. Still a hot topic today. Asking an ahtlete if he get's bored of your national anthem after winning is disrespectfull. It again a proof about how biased reporters from Australia/US/UK still are. Ignorant to their own nationalism and the shear hate which is directed from the Anglo Saksen word towards the Verstappens. Despite that fact that Max is a great down to earth guy, open, honest. A man that helps other drivers (outside the F1 media view).

The Dutch anthem is useless. Its launched in 1920s, where we sing that we honor the king of Spain and Portugal, while having 'Dutch' blood; where Dutch means Deutch, which means German.
So we honor a mediteranian king while being German. You understand why I prefer the South African anthem as my anthem.
Although it is good to be 'Dutch' as this means 'people'. So maybe I can find a better anthem of one older kingdom in the Netherlands

Seemingly flawless, reliable car that loves and nutures tyres through a variety of tactics per stint.. Insane composure and delivery by Max, watertight race day strats and near seemless pitstops.. As a package they are Bossing it at the moment. Not a fan, but they simply benchmark against which all teams including my beloved Scuderia Ferrari can easily judge where improvements can and should be made..
