The masks served a couple of purposes. One, it gave them a level of anonymity to the public. Two, it ensured that the focus was on the music and the performance and not on the artists. Three, Theatricality! As you said it, Halloween costumes.
"what in the Texas chainsaw massacre?!" That was too funny. Been listening to Slipknot for years but I love watching reactions from people first time listening to metal. 🤘🤘 Rock on, bro and keep doing you.
I just took my 13 year old before the pandemic. I had to show her in case they stop touring, they are getting old like me. She loved it. I told her, there is nothing like the double bass in your chest at a big venue just pounding and feeling it through your body. They put on such an amazing show..I have seen them 3 times in my life now. I should have gone every year they came.
"Custer" Live Nero Forte Official vid (have lyrics open) Corey Taylor - Solo - 'Snuff' Live (he's the lead singer - but solo with no mask and totally different side)
OMG 😂 that was FUKIN HILARIOUS! I was taking a drag off my cigarette and about choked when you said "what in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre is THIS" oh holy shit I think I peed a little 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Dope reaction man!! They all wear masks and they change them every album cycle. Slipknot my fav band... a few good songs to start out is psychosocial, and duality. Once you conquer those, then you get deeper. Also it helps to follow along with lyrics so you can get his message
Just a FYI you as a rap fan should of picked up on the bars he was straight up spitting. He was metal rapping. He's one of the best all around singers I've ever seen. The band as a whole is badass. I love them. Nice reaction
"What-in-the-Texas-Chainsaw-Massacre....." 😂🤣... that's great stuff man...what a way to word that reaction...dead-on straight! Rap mixed with rock/heavy metal started already back in early 80s when I was younger but didn't get the credit due. People back then were too single music genre-minded. Thanks for reviewing and sharing your thoughts on this iconic song! If u wanna go really, really old school on the whole rap-rock mix music?...then check out Run DMC collaborating with Anthrax (maybe 1987)...some good old-skool $h!t.
First time I saw slipknot was back in 08 and they did the drummer thing and I thought it was the coolest shit I have ever seen (was 18) then started a spit it out chant after their last song of the night and as amazing as the show was I was disappointed they called it a night. Still one of my favorite bands live.
Actually Tommy LEE from 80s hairband ( but still had some great songs in my opinion wasn’t that bubble gum hairband stuff) but is in complete roll cage spinning and going over the crowd while playing the drums. You should check it out if you haven’t seen it
