@ryancollinsvideo thanks Can you share the assets for midjerny projects at least the photos I am from egypt so the sub for it it will cut about 20% of my salary is 67$ per month without fee
You earn my sub! I've been stuck lately and on verge of depressing myself because I don't know what to do. Your video gave me a bit of clarity and value and I really hope you make it big. This video is a hidden gem
That's a great video, thank you. I've studied cs but can't find a job, because every job asks you to fisrt work for 3 months for free, and then maybe you'll get hired. Lol. So I've been looking at other ways to make money, and your video was very helpful.
Hey Ryan! Just came across your channel and loved it, I am 24 and making around 300 USD doing a job living in Pakistan, recently I've also started freelancing and landed my 1st client, your content really helps improve my skills and information. btw ending words were amazing!
I recently completed a project for a foreign client. I charged $20 for one short video, and for two other relatively longer videos, I charged $130 each. They were quite pleased with my editing style and decided to extend a full-time job offer to me. The offer includes a salary of $600 Australian Dollars per month and a commitment of 6 hours of work per day. I chose to accept their offer promptly because I wanted to secure my kitchen income. Do you believe that working a steady job is better than taking on projects on a per-project basis or vice versa?
Hey - probably not. If you made $130 for one video you could make that $600 in 4 videos. If you're in a full time position now how are you going to find time to go and get more clients? I don't know what country you're in but $600 AUS is like $300 US. I personally wouldn't do it but then at the start I did what I could. If you're happy and you're getting paid and learning, keep doing it, only you can answer that question.
Another great informative video! I just wondered what you meant by the shotgun approach when you talked abou the editng portion in the 7 steps. Would you mind a brief explanation of that? TIA :) You rock 🤘
Hi Ryan, great video. Were you getting these VSL clients from freelancing platforms like Fiverr or are you doing your own marketing? I would like to take the VSL course. When are you planning to release the VSL course and how can I notified when you drop it? I hope you also explains how to get VSL clients in this course :) Cheers!
sorry, another long question... I wanted to share that I hold an M.Phil. degree in Computer Science and have a strong programming background. Video editing is another skill I'm passionate about, and I'm currently building a career in this field. I'm curious if there are potential clients who would benefit from a combination of my video editing and programming skills, such as creating high-quality videos related to programming. I'm confident that there should be opportunities for me to apply both of these skill sets effectively in the field of video editing. Can you offer some guidance in this regard?
Like I said, it's not just one video it's a package. Plus, they don't have to do anything, they can drop me a 20 minute talking head video and I knock out ads that make them hundreds of thousands of dollars. I could have probably put more emphasis on this part but ultimate I am a machine and they put money in, they get money out.
Thank you for making this video! Im a beginner and i was thinking about which niche to pick. Ive been practicing with editing short form reels. If you focus on quality short form content, unlike hormozi style which is basically subtitles over a video and you actually go a step ahead and make the edit more creative and add engaging effects, would it still be a niche to avoid?
Thanks for the comment - I was waiting for this question! I've seen some amazing short form videos and reels and it's not the "quality" of the reel that's the issue, it's the industry and how they look at "short form" content as being less valuable and most people wanting this service want LOTS of content, so expect bundles and discounts etc. My advice would be to go for it, demonstrate the quality of your reels and even better get RESULTS with them, then sell the results not just the quality. How much are you charging per reel? I would reccomend going for it, you can translate those skills to longer videos or "ads" and honestly, it's literally the dimension of the video and industry expectations that make these appear less valuable.
@@ryancollinsvideo Thank you so much, your reply is hugely appreciated. Im starting with $30 per 30 secs reel and I'm just going to go for it and see where it takes me. In the meantime i'll improve my editing skills and following your advice, i can always translate those skills to other niches.
Hi ryan, I'm a beginer level video editor, i just finished a crash course on adobe premier but i hopped on davinci resolve because its free to use. I am a work in progress but i'd like to take this opportunity to ask if you'll accept people like me to work for you for free as your apprentice and if you like my progress long enough for me to get myself on my feet, all i ask is a testimonial. I just have a gut feeling that i should get you as my mentor even if i work for free. I really feel that your level of expertise can help me reach my goals. Kind regards
Hey, thanks for this! I only work for a handful of clients at the moment and I do most of the work, with one of my best guys helping me out. You don't need to work for free, you just need to follow the steps in the video!

2000-5000$ for a video edit? 😮 Damn you are the most lucky person to get those kind of clients that are willing to pay that amount 😅
