When Jesus said "It is finished" while hanging on the cross, I always assumed He simply meant that it was time for Him to die. No, it meant so much more than that. It meant that the war was over. By this act, He had won, and the devil had lost. The battles keep raging, but the victory belongs to Jesus.
The letter of the Law... Religion....it is finished! there is no religion, nothing that man can do to be right w/ God. Only through the cross....Jesus said, It is finished!!!
