Hello, wonderful demo, awesome playing and amazing amp. How clean does it keep at higher volumes, please? I seem to notice from your settings that it breaks up pretty easily at moderate volume settings. I'd play mostly overdrive songs with my band, but a few songs require a cleaner sound at sustained volume. Does it do it?
Thanks, man. It does maintain a relatively clean sound up to a point. But it's no twin reverb... The speaker would also probably play a big role in how loud and clean it can go. I'd say it's got a little more breakup a little earlier than a Fender Deluxe Reverb.
Well, the Z-28 is one of the best amps ever made... The Jetta is great, but if you had them both side by side for similar prices, the Z-28 is the way to go. But they are very different. You may find the Jetta to be the better choice depending on your style.
@@jukehousejohnny awesome, thanks for the comments. I may bite the bullet and get the new Z-28 MkII. I almost never play pure clean and generally use some extra dirt from a pedal, so it seems like a good choice. You sound great through this Jetta - nice playing, sir!
Well, there is more noise than on other amps when cranking the master. I do agree with that. But, as with many Dr. Z's, there's a compromise and give and take between the gain or volume and master. Once you get acquainted with the amp, its really not prohibitive.
Appreciate the quick reply. Early demos show that setting the master all the way up created a crazy hiss sound. Looking into one but can’t have it be noisy.
@@j.j.juarez1161 I totally thght this was a comment on a different amp review... 100% my bad. I edited the initial reply. Please take a look. Again, my bad...
If may respond , the early Jetta's did have a background noise issue when max'd Master volume. This problem was caused by the Metro Loop and has been addressed by us as well as George at Metro. The newer Jetta's are dead quiet at max volume settings . Also the tube rattle has also been addressed with isolation gaskets and different spring tube clamps.
Thanks for the very nice review and great playing!
Thank you guys for making top tier stuff! I'm looking forward to playing the new Z-28, when I have some cash to spend.
@@jukehousejohnny that would be a great addition!
Nice review. Nice playing, reminds me a bit of Isbell. Jetta gets a lot out of three simple knobs. Off to check out your other vids ...
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the review! What’s your take on this vs the Z-28 Mk I? I’ve been looking at both for my next amp.

Are you getting a hiss/bad noise when the master is turned past noon?

@@jukehousejohnny no worries at all, thanks again brother.
