Dublin is rough old town to visit these days and it's nothing to do with immigrants. It looks run down. Weeds and litter carpet the pavements and streets. The buildings look shabby. The urban architecture looks third-rate. There's no guards anywhere and the place just feels loose and unkempt. Ireland is a very wealthy country - what on earth is going on?? Look at how the French government has spruced up Paris, look at the pride other European governments take in their capital cities.
