GME didn't have over $2B cash on hand until 2024, it looks like in November 2017 their market cap was below $2B, and dropped below the threshold of $250M in February 2020 (so 2018/2019, first quarter 2020 it could have been in IWM). And then the sneeze propelled GME to $22B market cap so... Maybe that's our answer?

I asked the question "why are the majority of trades taking place off exchange, and who decides when the trade happens in a dark pool." He said the broker decides where the order is routed. I thought the market maker decided. If the market maker can re-route trades from lit exchange to manipulate the stock, then that should be verified. Not sure if you already looked into this in an old video or not. Thanks!
I think it is the broker because when you put in a trade, they will decide as the broker, where they can execute the order and get the best deal. They'll be plugged into a variety of exchanges - some of those are lit, some are dark, meaning broker to counter party. Some of those can be called dark pools. But that's about all I know!
Happened to be in a GS today at a moment where a conversation from a employee was asking the other about a store closure. They got interrupted from a customer so I didn't hear how it finished but it sounded like both hadn't heard anything about stores closing. Greater Vancouver Region Canada. 😢 for all those who may feel weary, fight the good fight sometimes losing battles helps to win wars. I know in the metro areas of Canada our commercial real estate is fairly expensive and we need a huge correction to happen in our market for small businesses to thrive again.

It's a product company working with glass and closet organizers, we've grown as a business now into producing kitchens and in the new year counter tops. I've seen many little start company's come and go. Our strip malls keep getting built because it's older family generations land thats been paid off and either sold or is being developed but the newer strips malls sit about 1/2 empty of businesses. Margins are very slim and the only ones I see go into the new strip malls are your chain businesses. Any mom and pap shop are finding the oldest building they can get rent on. I work in a lot of towers and we have now from my conversations with site supers and builders that investors (chinese) are walking away and they are having to list these units to the end user. 800k$ CAD to someone who makes 40-60k a year. Not likely. Canada is going to pop way harder then the US did in 2007 and we will not recover anyways wheres close as our economy is so tiny. Our people and government got very greedy with foreign investments over the last decade and we will pay long and hard for it.
