I am a total makeup junkie, but I don't own any Lime Crime. I can honestly say that some of my cheaper palettes seem to perform better than the more expensive ones I own...like I am absolutely loving the cheap dupe knockoffs that I bought on Hush -- they're amazing!! How does that grungy mauvey shade Fresca compare to the similar mauve shade in the UD Ultimate Basics palette? They look really similar!
shoppingspree they are similar but the one on this palette has lots of little gold glitters in it. It is also warmer toned than the one in the UD palette and dryer. It’s not as creamy xx 😘
I was thinking of this palette for a loooooong time. Thank you for your honesty review. I’m all set with Lime Crime’s eyeshadow. I do love the lipstick and hi-lites but I don’t enjoy the high prices. I love Bad Habit for their amazing makeup dupes and also Face Candy. I will have to check out Beauty Glazed. You’re adorable 💕😽

If you haven't already you should look at the Bad Habit pallets offered on the Shop Hush site. They are Awesome!! And very inexpensive (most are in the $10 - $12 range)... I'm not sure how the shipping would work but in the U.S. if you download the Hush app the shipping is free.. Great great products and not scary chemicals like in some AlliExpress stuff

The original/first Venus palette is my favorite of all time but i did feel like the shadows in the xl palette were not the same formula..dont tell my husband he paid $56 for it.. Plus shipping...lol
I would just like to tell you, I don't know if they sell Catrice in UK, cause I live in Slovenia, Europe, but if you can try Catrice prizma lip glaze lip gloss, I love this glosses, they are 4€ and they are so great.😍 Lovely palette too, I liked the colours. 😊
Anwen holy shit I have something for you. I love my focallure palettes, especially their mattes. I have the Twilight, the Tropical Vacation the Northern Lights (which is so-so imho) and their Pro (matte & electric pro eyeshadow palette). Get the Pro palette if you haven't yet and you're down for some more focallure madness, as I saw in the video how the eyeshadows in the Venus XL (which I really wished I could get too) they are so similar? There are 20 shadows in the focallure pro and the color family is incredibly similar minus the soft pinks. On your camera I can probably dupe 90% of the shades in between the Twilight, the Tropical vacation and the Pro palette mattes. Honestly you don't need the pro palette if you don't like focallure mattes as much as I do but it does have 2 formulas of shimmer in it, the row of circle pan shimmers are a bit drier than the twilight ones but still have that moist feeling to them if you know what I mean, the ones in square pans are more of a normal formula shimmer still very silky and pretty imho. I'd link to some pictures but I've been thinking of starting a beauty blog so I have to take some nice photos before I swatch the shadows to death for aesthetic purposes. And Fresca looks very dupable by Healthy in the pro palette, Passion looks like Jam, Burnt gold to Cocoa Powder, Boticelli to Purple Purple. If I go trough all of the palettes I think I can dupe most of the XL shadows (of course based on the lighting you have in the video.

I’m soo baffled. My friend has lime crime pallettes and I tried them. They really don’t look or act like yours do. I mean, I swatched one shimmery blue on my hand and the darn colour just stuck there. 😂 And none of those colours did that uneven swatch yours did. Wow. They’re too pricey for me anyway ’cause I probably use eyeshadow like once in three years or so..

I think that some of my makeup revolution palettes swatch better than this one, even the older ones, I know that swatches líes but they are a good reference about color scheme and texture (I usually swatch powder products with a brush for my blog) I’m gong to wait untill makeup rev or beauty glazed dupe this one. 💋
Ps hey have you done a cut crease? Maybe if you cleaned the lid up with concealer before applying the purple it might have been true to color more ok beautiful bye lol

I can totally relate to what you're saying about it not being worth it. I've got original too faced, naked, tarte and modern renaissance palettes -mostly bought on the cheap on ebay or discounted but I have to say although they are beautiful and obviously good quality, I get as good quality and looks from my TZ firefly and I have a great little £4 nine eyeshadow focallure palette that I'm wearing today and it's beautiful. I actually feel like I have to make myself use my more expensive ones to justify buying them and won't be running out to replace that many of them. The only expensive one I do use quite alot is the Jaclyn Hill but I've already lined up some less expensive alternatives.

I'm a fan of lime crime. They are an extra ASF brand. I got a single gloss and the box it came in in the inside had roses and unicorn and clouds decorated and my gloss was wrapped in pink tissue paper. HOWEVER, you can't do a review on the first batch of ANY pallet bc there is not a pallet in this world that is bomb on the first batch, you have to buy it later on bc later batches are always an improved formula

I was surprised to see this video, I thought most people (especially in the TH-cam world) all knew that Lime Crime were to be avoided 🙈 They're known for having horrible eyeshadow for the price they charge and they are such a horrible company in general they are practically boycotted by everyone these days due to all the controversial things they have done and said 😬 It's why you never see any reviews for them now on TH-cam but they are often in 'anti hauls' instead now. It's a shame you can't return it like they allow in the USA, its a lot of money to spend on something you don't REALLY love! You definitely made it work for you though 😊

Amanda Luv have to pop in here and say the JS palette is amazing! The colors don’t apply like they look in the pan but with that in mind it’s gorgeous.
I was surprised to see this video, I thought most people (especially in the TH-cam world) all knew that Lime Crime were to be avoided 🙈 They're known for having horrible eyeshadow for the price they charge and they are such a horrible company in general they are practically boycotted by everyone these days due to all the controversial things they have done and said 😬 It's why you never see any reviews for them now on TH-cam but they are often in 'anti hauls' instead now. It's a shame you can't return it like they allow in the USA, its a lot of money to spend on something you don't REALLY love! You definitely made it work for you though 😊

Definitely not quality for the higher price point. It’s a pretty palette and all though, I love pinks and purples.
