Not sure if you are fully joking, half-joking, or not. Some dislikes are probably for the dangerous driving: one-handed, looking away, and talking. Basically, not paying attention to the road ahead. He could've better wear a GoPro on the head. But one cannot deny his effort.

I think that the 488 and the 570S are two of the best supercars on the market right now. Both seem very civilized, yet can put a huge smile on your face when you want it to, and neither are priced through the stratosphere (Though I know there is a bit of a price gap between the two.) Personally, I'd buy the 488 over a 570S if I had the money for something like that. I'm not sure how McLaren's are when it comes to reliability, since they're relatively new at producing road cars and are a smaller company than Ferrari/ FCA is.
Though at the end of the day, actually I'd rather have an Audi R8 V10 Plus. Quattro AWD, a glorious sounding V10, able to hold its own at a race track, and the reliability of being an Audi/VW product.

That's most supercars/hypercars I've been in too. McLaren 650S and 570 hit 110 in no time, effortlessly.
*Cringe* I used to close my boot/hood like that, until the lightweight aluminium started to bend. You should just drop it from 10-20cm height, that way the pressure is even across it and you wont bend the tip of the boot/hood.
I do that with all my cars, even ones with thick hoods. Drop them from a conservative height (usually 3 to 7 inches depending) to close it.

Futurism Neither, both are outdated and have issues. Just buy a C7 if budget is your motivating factor.
If you really have a budget the r8 might be your best option besides the vette.
