My last residence I live there for 30 years and never turned my light on outside, so everybody got the message, but where I lived now the people go all out to celebrate Halloween, some of them properties looked worse than a burial ground. I continued to not turn on my lights, now I don’t have to turn them off anymore, they got the message. I am telling you all of this just to say how ignorant mankind are. The celebrate everything without knowing the meaning of it, Easter bunny, Santa Claus etc. Who told them Jesus was born on the 23rd of December, also who told them he died in April and rose in April. All I KNOW HE CAME INTO THIS WORLD TO LOVE ME AND HE DIED THAT I MIGHT BE FREE. THE BIBLE SAYS LIVING HE LOVE ME DYING HE SAVE ME, RISING HE WAS JUSTIFIED FREELY FOREVER, ONE DAY HE WILL BE COMING BACK, HOW GLORIOUS IT WILL BE.
Give out some small new testament Bible. All these dressing up, treat & tricks and cinco mayo devil mess. And other shenanigans that people run with because each generation prior were doing it....
My mom was the absolute worst. Listened to me getting excited with my little friends for WEEKS before Halloween, let me cobble together some cheap ass Dracula costume using stuff I found around the house, just to tell me we don’t celebrate that shit 😂 THEN, hours after I had to tell all my friends to leave me, ignore other kids knocking on the door, and basically the whole night being over…she let me go out with my big brother and get turned away at every house because all the candy was gone. Just about every human population observes this celebration. It's a day to remember the dead. From our loved ones who have separated, to saints, or martyrs. Over time Halloween evolved into trick-or-treating, customes, carving pumpkins, etc. There were druids who built sacred bonfires where people burned crops and animals as offerings to their dieties. Which is a common practice throughout indigenous natives across the globe and antiquity. Costumes where designed to ward off evil spirits and bring in good fortune. Witch customes with the pointed hat and black dress, are actually how Puritan women dressed in the 17th century and had nothing to do with the actual origins of Halloween. Puritans were members of a religious reform that arose within the Church of England in the late 16th century, which was believed to be similar to the Roman Catholic Church that celebrates practices rooted in the bible. That's just a little tidbit for those of you who don't engage in vigorous self-study. I find it peculiar how some Christians don't realize thar by labeling Halloween as demonic is also condemning their religious practices, as well. You have individuals who don't know the origin story of Halloween, the heirachy of demons in Hell, when or who founded Satanism and Luciferianism. But are quick to cast judgements upon the spiritual beliefs of others from a place of extreme ignorance. Especially, when the Christian church is notorious for being a willful participant in chattel slavery, the perpetuity of child marriages, and cruel torture methods to convert or condemn heretics. From burning victims to death, rape, enslavement, water boarding, etc. That's the epitome of being demonic.
One whole dissertation fi defend something that a minority of people even consider. Caribbean people do not celebrate it. The vast majority of human populations do not celebrate this nor have any major commericalized recognition of their dead/ancestors. The Halloween of America today (and those who lap up under American culture) has no connection to other cultures honouring their dead. Just add it to Christmas, Valentines and all the rest of the commercial marketing events of the year.
