Oh my goodness I just sent my fondue set which I received in 1979 to a consignment shop. So much fun having fondue night that I probably should’ve kept it and revised it after Covid crisis is over. The table was Hideouslygorgeous! Made me laugh out loud!
Never let these people leave. You all make me so happy. I’m 66 and am in love with Phillip and his quite funny puns. I know, I’m much too old for him. Lol. ❤️
Really? My daughter had a few story books as a child and the little character/flower child, was named Chrysantheum. As a seasonal gardener, I did not know that bit of info. TY
Oh my goodness, I had the exact same fondue book in the 1970's!! I not long parted with it which is even stranger... We had many a wonderful evening with friends around: using 2 fondues, one for meat and the other was cheese. We had homemade coleslaw which went with the meat and celery with cream cheese. It was delicious! Chaps would bring beer for themselves and of course that 70's classic Matêus Rosé. I decorated the table with an orange and brown floral tablecloth which was my Mum's, that I STILL own. And strangely enough I too had the exact green glasses you have and I still have them! Some things you just can't get rid of. Watching your fondue night took me back to some great parties with great friends. I now mainly used fondue for chocolate and marshmallows with my grand children. Just as fun! x
What I love about this channel and Stephanie is that it encourages you do what you love with what you have. From buying beautiful plates that range from expensive to adorable and giving them a new life, to cooking more, getting back out in nature, decorating, planting a garden from seeds. They encourage you to try new things regardless if it fails or not. To do what makes you happy. You can have the life you want whether in your apartment or in a chateau with land. Life is what YOU make it.
My parents got a Fondue pot and disks and forks in the 70's - Now I'm a proud owner of those and I love making fondue, specially the meat one. I also remember Fondue ads on TV as a kid with a couple being intimate while enjoying a pot of Fondue.
Ooooohhhh, Stephanie, I woke up today, rolled over, and thought :"Today's the day Stephanie gets that 100k". Such a thought to have first thing in the morning that I had to check. And you've DONE IT! I've watched you work for this forever, so this is my first ever public comment, to say CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Marie, I grew and sold flowers at a farmer's market when I was your age. I would make a bouquet at the stand in a color combination that I was not particularly attracted to, but felt led to do it. Someone would walk up as soon as I was done and this combination was exactly what they wanted.
Oh fondue! Yes, Philip, you are spot on with fondoos and fondont’s! It brought back fond memories! The Germanic common rule is, if your lump of bread falls of your fork you have to drink a Kirsch Schnaps! Good times! Kissing the men! I may be old but but ours was the generation of the first mini skirts, hot pants, burn your bra, skintight satin overalls. And magnificent parties. I so enjoy the community you created, Stephanie, because it’s joy and love in the time of COVID. The only way to make it through. Better days will come!
My parents would have huge fondue parties on Christmas Eve when I was a teen. If you lost your food off your fork you had to take a drink of wine. The adults only of course but us teens were sneaking the wine too!Fun times.! Love LaLande❤️
Our fondues, late 70's early 80's, were raucous events. Low tables, cushions on floor, etc and thank God fondues can't talk. But they were epic fun. Great show as usual, thank you.
Cat, you are women after my own heart. I too roast my vegetables for soup, creates such a depth of flavour. The table setting looks like it could be out of a magazine,. Love watching all of the fun you have at Lalande.
Hi everyone from Villioti Fashion Institute, we love your show. Stephnie is a natural stare, but she has the most wonderful supporting team, of all stares. Thank you for watching our vlogs, our show is in its infancy, but your show always inspires us, keep up the amazing shows. Lots of love ❤️ Spero
My parents had fondue parties when I was little. We loved it. One cheese, one hot oil and dessert with chocolate. I now want to go out and buy a fondue pot.
Wonderful Stephanie it took me back to when I use to host Fondue Parties in the late 70's early 80's and we use to have a meat fondue and lots of wine. It was just as you described and I remember all the laughing and fun we had.
"It's insane and I like it!" I couldn't agree more. So many crazy items all put together somehow makes it a little sane and it works. Fondues are always great fun and from here on foreward I swear to use the term "Fondo's and Fondon'ts".
YEEEEEEEES.... YOU DID IT STEPHANIE.. 100.000 CONGRATS YOU DESERVE IT .. YOU DON´T EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH YOU AND YOUR CHANNEL MEANS TO MANY OF US,,, THANK YOU LALANDE AND CHAT ... LOVE YOU ALL WHOOOOOOOP WHOOOOOOOP JIHAAAAA I FEEL SOOOOOO HAPPY
Four essential colours from the seventies - brown, orange, avocado green and of course Mustard. Thick ceramic plates (pottery as we would have called them) which preferably would be mustard in colour and at least one wall in the dining area would have been painted avocado green to round off the whole affair. There, that's a perfect 70's do!
Ohhh, I'm a cheese-a-holic!!! [Phillip, it's just all wrong that you're in France completely surrounded by cheese that you can't eat...so I did some research. Violife makes cheese from coconut, and out of all the alternate cheeses out there, a panel chose 15 favorites which included Violife's parmesan, feta, and a smoked provolone - it's sold in the Netherlands and I think they may sell it in France as well. Something to research.]
Philip's with both Stephanie and Cat seems the lovingly antagonistic sibling--bad puns, eye-rolling, recitation of past grievances and unfortunate decisions, and lots of laughter.
As a teenager of the 70's I loved the cookbook, the tablescape! Maries Flowers !!!Yay for Fondue! Bring back Fondue parties! Bravo Cat, Philippe, Stephanie and Marie!
I’m a teacher and the last few weeks leading to Christmas are the most tiring and stressful. The kids quite rightly are excited and the days are shorter and darker. Everyone experiences the winter burnout and covid has made everything harder. These videos really get me through and have been cheering me up so much, thanks! I hope one of you at Lalande see this and pass on to Stephanie xxxx much love from Blackpool
"...and that's how I divorced my 7th husband!"
What's not to love about Cat? She's comedy goals!
Ha, married in 1974, I was given two fondue sets and that book! Many a happy evening was had....
We got married in 1983 and also got given a fondue set and the same book!
That was the era of the fondue! I received several for showers before my wedding in 1970.
I got the biggest smile also when I saw that book. I still have it and live in California
@@valgoodridge1810 ...back in day before registries! 😉

As a fellow snort laugher, there’s not much funnier than Philip snort laughing at his own puns😂
I had to stop the video to laugh long and loud...and then start it again.🤣🥰
I love Phillips CHEESY puns 😂 he must have read the “fondue-mentals of puns book!” Haha!
Funny!
Fon-Do's and Fon-Don'ts!
Only at Lalande would a resident ask “is there a dress code for dinner?” What a fun vlog!
OMG the puns that Phillip throws out... He's hilarious!!!
You could not script these video’s and beat what these folkscome up with on their own. This is genius because it is genuine.
I pray that if cable tries to pick her up, she says, OH NO. Unless its considerable more money that would help with restoration.
I was snorting at Phillips dodgy puns🤣Thanks for cheering me up.
Philip is hilarious! He had me chuckling so heartily. I thought his puns were perfect... :)
Let's remember to thumbs up and try to get Stephanie to 100k by the end of the year!👍⭐💓
She already made it to 100k - yay! 🥳
The tablecloth and napkins are beautiful and how sweet that they were your parents!
I just love Selmar ! He always has a giggle and a laugh when speaking. He's just so happy ! I love you Selmar !!!
Never let these people leave. You all make me so happy. I’m 66 and am in love with Phillip and his quite funny puns. I know, I’m much too old for him. Lol. ❤️
That was a beautiful gathering of Fondues. Fondont’s, and Funnnndooo’sss!!
You can plant the chrysanthemums and they will come up again in the spring to bloom in early fall. Marie will appreciate them!
That’s amazing, I had no idea about that!
Me either Amanda! That's awesome.
Really? My daughter had a few story books as a child and the little character/flower child, was named Chrysantheum. As a seasonal gardener, I did not know that bit of info. TY
I am not a good Gardner at all, but I kept a potted one for a couple years, with care and they came back. I should have potted in ground.
But be careful with Frost.

Fondue's and fondon'ts absolutely made my day
And Philips “Fundues!
“Stop laughing at your own jokes!” Oh Cat! You and Phillips’s relationship is like that of siblings. 😂😂😂
My parents got a Fondue pot and disks and forks in the 70's - Now I'm a proud owner of those and I love making fondue, specially the meat one. I also remember Fondue ads on TV as a kid with a couple being intimate while enjoying a pot of Fondue.
I remember that commercial. Wd always had fondue when hosting Sarah Coventry parties, Tupperware.....the fun, lol
I live for Philips puns!😂
And his snorting laughter!! I snort too when I really get tickled!!
Best TH-cam channel by far 🧡🌹❤️

I love your introduction, you both look so beautiful! Philip's jokes were hilarious! 🎉cheers to everyone!
You just keep on joking, Phillip! Don't let that woman intimidate you! I personally was thinking of "fon du siècle."
Loved it when Phillip makes himself descend into uncontrollable laughter! That hole in the tablecloth? Is it a hole in fon?
Marie, I grew and sold flowers at a farmer's market when I was your age. I would make a bouquet at the stand in a color combination that I was not particularly attracted to, but felt led to do it. Someone would walk up as soon as I was done and this combination was exactly what they wanted.

Memories of the Fondue Parties in the 70s i went to indeed 🥖🧀🫒 yes “Cat” broccoli in the hot cheese 🫕
Yes. My first apt, I had a very similar looking fondue cookbook. The memories
Move over Martha Stewart, you got some table setting completion on your hands. What’s old is new again. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Stephanie, Philip and Cat, you've made this so much fun, I'll now have to give it a go... at 69 I've never had Fondue! 🏰🎄👍
I don’t think I had this much fun with a fondue party since 1970! And I am Swiss 🤣.
Its was so kitch, that it was beautiful! 😁

I remember when fondue parties were all the rage! Then they went out with a huge bang and people really turned on them!

Oh no, I dropped my bread, whats the forfeit. Enjoyed this. My teenage years were in the 70s, do not recall it being this much fun. X
My parents had fondue parties when I was little. We loved it. One cheese, one hot oil and dessert with chocolate. I now want to go out and buy a fondue pot.
Love Kat and her humor! Would love to cook with her.
“I’ll find something that does not explode”......the best 70s quote.

You make a special event out of every meal together. Lot's of fun people, and knowing we are all watching likely helps.
that amount of times Philip said "it's something else" hahahaahah
I think Selmar is related to Dr Who, his camper van is a tardis. X
I am soo so so ready for fondue. Chateaus and cheese- can’t beat it
🤔Except they need two fondue pots. Mandy doesn't do dairy cheese as a vegan, but vegetarians wouldn't want to mix hot dogs or ham with their mixture.
The advent calendar 12 days are the Best ❤🥰 Missing mummy and her husband.
"Fondus and fondon'ts" LOL
Also the pun “fundo”. I almost choked on my tea! LOL! Keep them coming Philip!😂🤣😅
Not a great fan of liquid cheese but love the one with meat on the forks.Yum, yum!🤗
Oh my gosh! Thank you for translating! I listened three times and could not figure out what Philip said!
and then, "stop it!! " LOL

Fondue was very popular in the 70's in California and I owned a book like that back then. Hot tubs, california wine and fondue!
