Good morning Greg hope you're having an amazing day. Wow I absolutely love the waterfall with that type of stone it's so beautiful and the Wetland and the Landscaping everything looks great.. I saw on Arms Family last week that they were out at head office for an event you held for people. The joy in Houston's face when he saw all the turtles was awesome he must remind himself of you when you were a child. I'm so excited that they're going to get a pond soon. They are such an amazing family, I have been following them for several years now and I can't wait to see Houston get his pond. you should try to talk Daniel into getting a wetland filter with some jets oi the pond to try to help keep the water a little more clear for his beautiful bass that he's trying to grow up. Hope you have an amazing day and I'll see you next video like always

First of all Greg I agree, mother nature didn't create rubber ponds. When you make it as natural as possible, the environment helps them grow. That pond is amazing. Great work in MICHIGAN...
My koi absolutely love gravel haven’t had any problems with it so far, but they love to dig in the gravel and eat all the leftover food in it.

That Koi guy had a wonderful setup! And I have a feeling that he can afford the electric bill to get that big pond clear. 😆😆 But if I was him, I'd already have it all running on Solar! Then I would take all the extra money saved to build more waterfalls and ponds! 😉😁😁

Dang your prices are bomb! Im in the rocky mountains and we would pay LOTS more for that! I love both my CAC pondless features but will always envy you with ponds and fish!

@@GregWittstockThePondGuy I just had Colorado Pond Pros put in 2 pondless for $32K.... I love them so so sooooo much but they say our ground is to rocky to dig what we would need to sustain them in winter and at 9200' probably to cold! The icing on my water features would for someday for Greg Wittstock HIMSELF to come and see them!

Love the pond and those koi are huge. I had a yellow one like in their pond and it died. I've tried to find another one but no one seems to know what it is. 😒
You might try to feed them more times a day with smaller portions. Koi like to gather food constantly so you’ll get more growth. I feed my koi 8 times a day, every 3 hours. Second advantage is that your filter will get a constant load of koi trash, so you get a very stable filter with bacteria.

My daughter is still in awe over the hobbit house..She keeps talking about it...lol...I am loving this waterfall. That is gorgeous! It looks so natural. Why do you think it needs to be deeper? We build them at 2ft in Chicago with great success
@@GregWittstockThePondGuy from my understanding you only need the pond deeper than 4-5 feet if you live in a cold area that will freeze, but I’m certainly no expert
@@Benzy670 Chicago is pretty cold 🥶 As long as you have moving water the pond will be fine.
Been doing this 15+ years ... this is one of the rare ponds we have built deeper than 2 feet. We have never had any issues with the depth here in Grand Rapids, MI. Just have to keep a hole in the ice with heater or some sort of aerator.

maybe they say that we can't keep quality koi in this kind of system because koi they feed koi 6-10x a day. will this system handle it sir greg?
@@kierphilipcabrillos9529 Yes it would handle the load. It has a wetland filter. I wouldnt recommend feeding that much. Once a day is good or do a little here and there throughout the day.
thanks sir greg. I'm from Philippines it's like summer the whole year. metabolism is faster.we feed 6-8x or 1% of body weight per day to maximize growth. no problem with digestion because our temperature here don't drop by 20°c. but the question if will the filtration handle the solid waste of the fish.

I Built my own koi pond but I struggle keeping my water clear I have 8 big koi fish and about 20 gold fish my pond size is wide 8x15 long x 2 ft deep. I used aquascape 2500 bio falls signature two aquascape 75000 aerator I have one ultraviolet UV light I sued Aquascape liquid beneficial bacteria and algae control liquids but I still struggle to keep my water clear. I leave in Chicago around Midway airport.

@@GregWittstockThePondGuy I went yesterday to aqualand in Saint Charles to buy the automatic dousing system and I connected yesterday and turn off my ultraviolet UV light also I bought another extra aquascape liquid name clear for ponds hopefully this works but I continue having green soup water what is I can do? I really love my fish and I don’t want to close my pond and make it into pond less water fall due the green water problem I have.
