I'm aware that this is mostly a reality show but I would think any company/outfit of this size would have different types of steel and have a small CNC mill & a small CNC lathe or at the minimum a conventional lathe. Being that they are so far from civilization it would pay for itself. I have to assume this part of the story was written this way.
Old bushing just barely doesn't fit, not called two day trip to town, called sandpaper. Zip it with 3in grinder.
Time to spend 120k on an industrial lathe, that wouldn't have been an issue if you had one on hand.

Hey Tony why don't you do a parts inventory and organize it so all you do is open the book get the number on the shelf that matches the part open up the book look in it find the part and walk out and pick the part up opposition also have you ever considered getting away I'm putting it in one of the sheds so you can make a fart or modify a part in a matter of minutes I can see where that would save you three thousand dollars an hour not knowing where the part is we're having to drive for a day and have each way or waiting for one to be shipped out to you I can see where you can save thousands of dollars in a simple parts inventory also do the same with your tools your operation is big enough to where you need to do this please reply if you get this message
