    Elon Musk Revealed Tesla Bot Gen 2 Officially Selling in LARGE Next Year! They’re Finally Ready! It won't just stop at an Optimus Gen 2 moving 50% smoother and featuring a completely redesigned arm with 11 flexible joints. Especially, the integration of precise touch sensors on each fingertip brings about the ability to interact with the surrounding environment delicately and efficiently. It is precisely these upcoming superior enhancements that have led Elon Musk, the ambitious CEO of Tesla, to assert: "I think Optimus will be more valuable than everything else combined U because if if you've got a sentient humanoid robot uh that is able to navigate reality and do tasks at at request".
    Elon Musk Revealed Tesla Bot Gen 2 Officially Selling in LARGE Next Year! They’re Finally Ready! So, what other reasons might have driven Tesla's decision to introduce Optimus Gen 2 to the market in 2025?

    I’d really like to see Optimus 2 Climbing Stairs a Ladders and walking across uneven Concrete and Soil . I’d like to see Optimus recover from falling to the ground … just walking along a flat floor isn’t very impressive … I’d also like to see one lifting its limit in a gymnasium …

      This right here sums it up. As someone living in a split level house, you can't go from any room to another without a step involved somewhere. Plus a spotter for weight lifting at home would be nice to be able to try to push your max weight if it could reliably do that. Plus I am curious if it can do cooking and how sanitary it is, sure it can handle an egg gently but can it crack it, make sure no shells fragments in the food and clean up any spills while also having clean hands from the start. More importantly can it tell/track the food cooking to not over or under cook it? What about laundry, sure it can fold it, but can it check if it's properly dry and take it out of the dryer by itself? What about putting the fitted sheet on the bed, can it do that? even many human adults struggle with that.

    Elon will change the world next year even though it's already changed the second he told us it would😊

    I would buy a robot that could cook and clean, anything else it could do for me would be a bonus.

    On one hand I do think that Optimus is close to finished and next year sounds like viable timeframe for it being released, on other hand Elon being one to say that make me think it will take few more years. There is no way he would get timeline right!

    i cannot count anymore how many videos u have with tesla bot gen 2 or gen 3 and u simply show a mash of every tesla robot made randomly.... It starts getting annoying...
    edit: If u dont know what to show, show urself... unless if u are an AI having chat and voice ready and u just push videos as fast as possible by simply making random cuts in video editing adding the sound/voice.

    We need an all purpose domestic robot & I hope this will eventually reach that point though it is far short of ready for prime time at $20k.

    I somehow doubt they will b available in large numbers - that will take a year more - and I wonder how good they will become next year. Not doubting it in 2-3 years, just... I like the 1X approach of making them for households first because the chaotic area of a household provides better training data. I am more than willing here to be surprised - I just think that people overestimate the impact of technology in the short term and underestimate it in the long term. Selling in large would be what - 100.000 units a month? Minimum - I think they will scale to 1 million a day soonish - but next year? Nah. Too short.

      for elon, 2025 means 2027, but the price should be around his estimate (efficiency is part of why he can drop price and be on the market all these years).

    • @ThomasTomiczek
      @ThomasTomiczek 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@GeorgeG90 That price - makes it VERY hard not to fire humans even in lower-level jobs. Remember the robot can work 24/7 (with breaks, but it is really calculated to take the same breaks as people working 3 shifts and use them for reloading). This means they will fly from the shelves. And training will only make them better. Fast.

    just a note, if u buy a robot forget about privacy. The "cameras" will be shipped with an excuse written in formal lettering explaining that only essensial data will be sent to improve the experience etc etc.
    Nobody seems to care talking about that.... i wonder why.... (i m being ironic, we all know why)

    I’m sure many parents would spend money on this multitasking Ai robot - house chores plus they wouldn’t have to send their child to college as it’ll become a ideal teacher at the home too in time.

    Optimus CANNOT work 24/7 without a rest.... unless they plan to give it a long extension cable plugged into a wall socket?

    • @aaronknight1009
      @aaronknight1009 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      They could use WiTricity [wireless charging] like Tesla and BMW are integrating into their cars.

    • @MrAuswest
      @MrAuswest 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@aaronknight1009 Possible, but at enormously more expense for the charge locations (charging range is small and energy use is high - as compared to a mobile phone say) and unlikely to produce 100% real world use-time (24/7).
      How long do you think it will be before highways are fully wifi charging points, and what do you for charge in your Tesla or BMW if you don't travel on highways?

    At $20k I will take three for my farm and butchershop. AI, robots, pitchforks and knives… what can go wrong?!? 🤔
    Seriously though… they cost less than tractors and will be quite useful.
    I am a farmer, butcher, builder and forester. AI AgriBots will be a big help. I have a lot of simple tasks that humans do not want to do. Bots will be a huge boon to small businesses.
    I do not think there is any chance of stopping AI development because you can not trust everyone else to stop. Same for ethics in AI. The solution is to be the first there so that means pouring resources into AI development. Musk is doing that.
    I think it will be worth on the upper end of prices. Speaking both as an investor and a potential user.
    The humanoid style robots are of great interest to me as a farmer, butcher, forester and builder. I need generalized help. The humanoid robot sector is exciting as a small farmer and butcher. Small businesses like mine will embrace them. I was really expecting $50k for the Tesla Optimus robot. At the recent oft quoted $10 to $20k I will take three if they can help me on my farm and butchershop - even with fairly simple tasks to start with. I expect they will become more able with time. I would look for maintenance to be around $1,000 or so per year which is the same as a tractor or truck. Buy or lease but those numbers work.
    My ideal would be a little more capable than the Tesla Optimus, Figure or Sanctuary AI Phoenix.
    An AgBot version. A little faster, say five miles per hour with a load. A little stronger, lifting 400 lbs and carrying 200 lbs up the mountain, able to roll & flip a 1,600 lb bale of hay. These are things I do and a robot needs to at least keep up with me.
    I am 61 and there is not a lot of interest in farming in younger generations but I do not wish to retire. I simply need some basic help.
    It is very hard to find reliable help for mundane tasks that robots could handle. People get bored too easily. They have kids and need to take time off but the farm still needs to be worked. Employees do not have the dedication to small businesses like the founders. In small businesses there is not enough redundancy of workers to handle people being out.
    Additionally drugs are a huge problem. We are not allowed to do drug testing unless we are willing to offer free drug recovery programs with paid time off. People doing drugs is not my choice and I should not be forced to compensate for people’s bad choices. That is on them. Robots do not do drugs.
    Being able to operate without internet connection is key. Rural reality. Onboard processing is key. Updates can be done at night but working time needs to be independent.
    Power needs to last for at least five hours but ideally 10 hours and charges in less than an hour if run time is short. Or an exchangeable battery like power tools.
    Able to work day or night. Nice weather, rain, snow, sleet and wind. Able to withstand water, mud, freezing (-50°F), and getting knocked around - real world rugged. Mud is. Dust is. Snow and ice does not stop us nor should they stop a robot. My diesel tractors do not like the extreme cold so yes they get babied a bit in winter - heating block & oil heater. Batteries do not like the extreme cold.
    Able to use human tools like tractor, chainsaw, brush cutter, loppers, shovel, knives, rake, hoe, sorting board, etc. Pickup trash and sort it, put out hay, muck a stall, move lumber, check fence lines, carry fence posts, check waterers, open and close gates, mow brush, clear fence lines, sort pigs, dehair a hog, skin a ham, debone, vacuum pack meat, labels on packages, carry boxes...
    In other words my basic daily farm, construction, forestry and butchershop tasks in my small businesses.
    Some people argue that specialized robots are better than generalized or humanoid. This is not an either-or situation. For some tasks a specialized robot is best for efficiency but there is also a large space for generalized learning humanoid form bots.
    Additionally I look forward to AI proofing my writing, doing my bookkeeping, taxes, legal documents, first level customer support... Small businesses will have our own pet accounting and legal AI departments like big companies.
    At the often estimate stated $20k each I will take three humanoid AI humanoid robots for my farm, butchershop & forest. Tractors cost a lot more.
    Robots with pitch forks, knives and chainsaws… What could go wrong? 😏
