    No need to drain the PAS pump. Remove the torx screw supporting the pipes on the opposite side of the engine, there's enough flex in the pipes to lift it and rest it at the front of the engine giving plenty of room for access. Remove the two bolts on the left of the alternator, loosen the two bolts on the right of the alternator then the bolt heads slide through the holes. Large cable is live, not ground so remember to disconnect the battery. Very difficult to read the white font at times. Example 4.50. Try a blue font.

    Don't know how much you know about car electrics, but the large cable is +V not ground! It grounds through the bracket. ALso, font colour. Otherwise a good video, Thanks!! 😃

      @@mishoatanasov2372 well, i always avoided french cars, but 2 years ago i bought a peugeot 206 CC and it is giving me a headace and a empty wallet. right now my dynamo is malfunctioning and i found a website today where people can open a topic if they have problems with their car and based on the amount of topics, citroën has the lowest amount of problem reports. Citroën has 6528 topics, peugeot has 19015 topics and renault has 18869. ofcourse, it doesn't neccessarily mean that citroën does actualy have less problems in general since it depends on the car owners who visit that website and report their problem there to look for help, but it does say something about reliability in my oppinion. it could be that alot of peugeot or renault owners know about this site, and citroën owners don't but it doesnt look good for those 2.

    Hi. I recently encountered a problem with my car . My car is a 2003 peugot 1.4 manual trasmission . The problem comes as you put the car on first gear run a little bit then you press the clutch .... If you release the cluth without shifting to a higher gear itll jerk .... It happens on every gear but on the heavier gears it gives you a harder reaction. What dou think it could be...

    • @iamhereforever
      @iamhereforever 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no offence but it shouldn't really make a difference because the battery has been disconnected. besides that, there is no way that people can switch those 2 with each other because of their connection. people who leave their battery connected while doing stuff like this are asking for trouble.

      @christiaanbezuidenhout6984 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was about to comment on this. @Damianos 980, You are absolutely right. The bigger round cable is the Positive out (B+) that goes to the battery. The other connector is a switch (sensor) that communicates to the ECU. The ground is the casing itself that bolts onto the engine. No need for a separate ground wire.

    Having trouble removing the bolt on the bottom right side because the space is very limited around it. I have to force my hand trough the gap, and try to push the wrench on with just my fingertips blindly. Any tips/advice? I got the peugeot 206 cc 1.6 16v 2002 version

      @@MultiFyber no, it is one below that. I got every bolt loose, just the last one is a pain to remove. Unless it is something else but i dont think it is because my altenator is still stuck. No movement at all

      @deduivel1618 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a soft heat shield on the right side that is still tightend somewhere down there and that makes a small difference aswell. I am going to try to reach the bolt again now, let's see if i can finaly get it off

    • @deduivel1618
      @deduivel1618 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you think that if once i place the alternator back, that i can just keep that bolt out? Since it got the other bolts holding it pretty tight?

      You don' t have to remove it completely. You just set it loose and it can go through the hole whilst being attached to the alternator. You can watch the installation process showing the answer to your question
