I love this story, It's beautiful in its simplicity. no overly complicated plot and yet it makes you think, it stays absolutely true to the characters and yet offers a deeper insight, Everything is cannon and yet completely original.
Titanium Dragon agreed, def one of My new favs that seems quite legit 'after' fics, along with "Memories do not burn". Just herd GoombaBrony's take before coming here and yeah, a very good story. *big thumbs up.
Thank you for doing this reading, I really appreciate you taking the time to do so. Knowing that someone felt strongly enough about the story to do a reading of it is wonderfully flattering. I made mention of this video on my blog and put a link in the author's notes for the story.
I've never really put the thought of how Celestia would of reacted to the battle between Twilight and Tirek but this story hit the ball out of the park. great job, doc. Great job.
A very thought provoking Fic, several friends and I have discussed this exact topic at great length. It was very interesting to see it from the perspective of the Royal Sisters. Thanks for reading this one Dr. Looking forward to your next one.
Kudos to you and the author. Personally I always beloved Twilight would succeed Celestia, and this story shows that potential. The fact that it may have been mostly Twilights magic during the fight is jawdroping to think about. I kind of see Celestia as Charles Exavior wise but holding the student back, and Twilight as Jean Grey\Phenox as a student of unlimited potential.
you are really good at fanfic readings DrWolf001 are you planing to do more and what if that is canon like after season 4 ended celestia and luna did watch that fight do you surppose it can be canon?
Wow. That's really interesting. I never really gave those episodes much thought. Just said, "Wow, a dragon ball z episode?" and moved on. But this does bring up a lot of things. Quite interesting.
I can't help but think Celestia has some power to read the future somewhat. Thus, she knew the best way to defeat Tirek was to let the events unfold as they did. Could Twilight have defeated him without the tree? Possibly. Most likely however, it would have cost her her friends and a good part of Equestria being destroyed. That would have greatly affected Twilight's ability to rule later and darkened her personality greatly, having sacrificed so much to win. As for Celestia's feeling on twilight, what teacher/parent doesn't want to see their students/children become greater than themselves? To become all they can be and share that with others? I know I would be proud were I her.
RE your commentary at the end. There is a rather grim story about Twilight becoming, as you said, the most powerful being Celestia has come across. But to her detriment. Frankly the story is so mind-bending it's sort of playing Twister with my imagination. Looking for a link. It's somewhere on www.fimfiction.net
I view the battle between Terric and twilight as a perfect power scale all of the Equestria magic and discord versus four Alacorns worth of magic. I for one believed disaccord was powerful but it wasn't how strong he was that made him dangerous it was the type of magic he wielded in a straight on fight Luna and Celestea could most likely overpower him but his is chaos magic world altering magic so he doesn't need to use it for offensive like a white mage and black mage from Final Fantasy they could have the same power level but Black mages can use more damaging spells then a white Mage can
I think its wise for celestia to tell twilight not to tell her friends, if I had to guess right they would had wanted to facer the main villain head on with discord at his side. In that scenario....I can see why she didn't want twilights friends to know what happen
That's probably a bit too long for a Dramatic reading. The stories I'm doing nowadays are between 1k and 3k words in total. Trying to do one that is over 16k words would be quite the project. Perhaps with enough practice, I could handle a more lengthy story like that. But not any time soon.
***** I still have to maintain a schedule of at least three videos a week though. And trying to do a story over 16k words would take too long for me to keep on uploading other videos.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Always nice to hear.
Very good read, you certainly have the voice for this kind of thing. I hope to hear more stories in the future.

It's kind of funny how the princesses watched the Hub on a giant celestial flat screen TV. It's like breaking the fourth wall but not really.

I loved it.
And so the Princesses harbor fear and paranoia as they realize that they should beware the quiet one...
awesome story.
This was a real enjoyable story! I liked it a lot! :) /)

Seeing as you are starting to do dramatic readings again, can I suggest "The Only One in Color"?
