The villain here is manipulative, opportunistic, demeaning, childish, cruel and emotionally labile; Elliott Lewis really knows how to portray the narcissistic, psychologically abusive ex.
I am an oldster, but apparently Roma wines were bought in the sixties a couple of times. I was not yet drinking age. I did some research, but the trail ends in the early seventies, except that there was one iffy indication that it ended up with Gallo, which is plausible. I do hope they had a range of quality, because a couple of times their ads said they had half-gallon and gallon bottles.
Roma wine was rot gut, with the ability to be a good wine. The advertisers encouraging consumers to mix sugar and soda over ice cubes is ludicrous. Roma became Cribari wine , Sold in gallon jugs. It didn’t keep well once opened, but tasted good at the first drink. Share it quickly with a large number of friends.
God, this is awful. A perfect portrait of a horribly abusive relationship. Too realistic for the good ol' Roma wines (just add sugar if you want something sweeter)!
Listened to this last week recovering from the new Covid 2024! Hit overnight without any pre-symptoms. Stay healthy y’all, it’s around again.
Wow! Can't We Be Friends? That was wild adventure during pandemic June 2020! These are fun to binge listen💕

Woah, this was intense!
She didn't want some of these boring, solid boys. And this is the outcome.
I love Eliot Lewis. So versatile as actor, writer and producer. He was so funny as Frankie Remley on the Phil Harris Alice Faye radio show..
Yes he is awesome. I loved him with Vincent Price in Suspense - The Name of the Beast - th-cam.com/video/6aqcYSYSFsY/w-d-xo.html
Oh my goodness, this story still has resonance today
And now, I cannot have any Roma Wine.... not fair! 😩
Try some moscato instead.

Those of you who love Elliot Lewis - here he is with Vincent Price in Suspense - "The Name of the Beast." It is really good!

He was exceptional
I was thinking the same thing, but you put it very well. (He was also a liar.)
11:34 - "Roma Wine, largest selling wine in all history.". WOW! That's quite a claim.
Maybe they meant bottle size.
@@gregofthelake Good one! :D

Figured it was something like that.
I got the impression that Fran’s operation was an abortion. Did anyone else think that?
The same thing came 2 my mind
Yes, understanding the character of this crumb. Dump him Fran!
Why
Did he leave the gun on the bed with his finger prints all over it. Poor Fran.
I hope not. Abortion is infanticide.
Yup
