The whole system of British politics needs total examination. We, as a country have to protect positions in government from these imposters. The money that has been lost to this country over the decades should have /could have transformed this island since WW2. The British public have been have been taken for fools.

The way he tries say he was unaware of the gap shows how culpable he and Johnson were.
Half term may have been a holiday for Johnson but it must have been a peak of responsibility for a PPS.
It is not credible for a PPS to claim not to be aware of the reason for timing the break nor to absolve himself for not informing the PM under such unusual circumstance.
Johnson told him not to bother him so he didn't & they are jointly negligent for what followed.

Probably safer to keep Johnson out of the loop, as he frequently changed his mind according to the weather. Frankly, Johnson didn’t understand the real scale of the covid pandemic, nor did he recognise the urgency of the situation. Johnson played at being PM, but he wasn’t prepared to apply himself to the government of business, hence during these locust years of Johnson’s premiership, virtually nothing got done because we had an adolescent in charge.

Do you remember the comment he made saying, *We Have Decided To Let It Rip* .... That was designed to panic people (that was inflammatory language) with Britain having an elderly population and millions of Britons having elderly people in their family. All part of the panic.. 24 hours later Johnson says he's taken the advice of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies ( SAGE ) and decided to lockdown to save the NHS, a few weeks later he's apparently at deaths door in a NHS hospital hence the lockdowns continued. If you think he was at deaths door with covid19 you are severely naive.
