Her parents never touch her and at one moment their hands go right through her. She is trying to search for the memory and it’s just out of reach and she is not able to find it just yet. Genius.

The real question is, will they modify the movie to depict what actually happened with Anastasia? This story gets even more tragic as time progresses, new information found within the past 5 years had evidence that proved she didn't make it. Although, it would be interesting to see the response of today's children watching the movie with or without the new information.

I don't know about anyone else, but whenever I listen to this song, I can picture the movie in my mind. I even remember the movements and the dancing she did before she bow down before the image of her father and the kiss on the forehead from him. This song just so great and love it so much.
I was waiting for when her sisters gave her flower necklace like in the movie it's so cute. The musical is still really good but I wish she had more interaction with everyone, more running around and dancing like the movie version but I guess it's hard to sing well while dancing at the same time

I love the blend of the background projections on the wall with the shadowed movement of the dancers. Really adds to the whole haunted dream aspect of it
@@humanperson3733 when Lenin was uprising against the royal family he captured them and then it got to dangerous for the movement to leave them alive and it isn’t known if Lenin ordered the royals family’s killing to the guards but there were rumors that Anastasia made it out and she was only pretending to be dead and a guard had mercy on her and helped her out and then when the grandma (the only one of the family still alive) heard these rumors she said she would pay anyone who could bring the princess back to her and this one lady (Anna Anderson I think was her name) knew answers to the questions the grandma asked that only Anastasia would know and she lived out the rest of her life with the grandma happy but when dna was a thing they found like a burnt body or something somewhere in Russia near where the family was being held and they tested the body and it was Anastasia’s so she didn’t make it out or live and nobody knows how Anna Anderson knew the answers to those questions *note* I may have gotten some of the details wrong if so someone correct me

i think the solution to the quick change everyone wants would be having a dancer in the anastasia gown switching with Christy during the song, with Christy singing offstage and the dancer lip syncing onstage, and when the Tsars leave, the lights go out and then Christy goes back onstage with the normal costume of act one.
They did a really good transition at the Macy's Day Parade performance. It would have been cool to do something like that but getting her back into the day wear may be an issue
Broadway does a lot of quick changes, they could’ve done velcro and had the girls help her while the choreography covered her. The transition back into her coat would’ve been more difficult but I’m sure they could’ve figured something out. It was my single biggest disappointment with this show tbh
I had goosbumps and i cried at the same time...this performance feels like that i am the lost princess of russia that after so many years finds out who she really is
I was lucky enough to see the touring production, and when the figures were projected dancing in the background it took my breath away. Absolutely haunting

I just got done watching the musical. It was awesome. Dmitry and Anastasia were my favorites by far. My friend thinks Jake Levy is cute and she's never called anyone cute before.

The little kids at my dance studio did a dance to this for the spring showcase since it was Broadway musicals...Easily one of my favorite dances from that show
