I don't think this could be considered a nerfing. In reality, you can now achieve much higher payout bonus, up to 30% (compared to the previous 20 for garbage), but getting the bonus is just a little more complex. Now every bonus is split to a special area, and to get bonus you have to do several activities - Supply supermarket, Transport passengers (both can be done with AI Company Vehicles), Collect garbage or do police patrols. You can't get the maximum bonus just by doing one activity, but by doing 2 of them getting the bonus is much easier. If you set up your trucks and busses correctly you can pretty much have a constant +25/+30% payment bonus in a specific area without doing pretty much anything. So it is hardly a nerf. I wish that the game had a more clear way to explain the new system to players, It was really fun to watch you and to try to decode the table with the numbers :D It is a shame that people just jump to the conclusions before doing at least a little research.
Oh, I must have misunderstood the system then (which is me all over lol) that actually makes more sense and if you're correct, then I'll eat my words and be very happy with the new changeresearcsee what I can gather up now with your information. Thank you massively for explaining this 😁
@@Mr-Bug-UK Yeah, it is still a shame that the game does not explain the systems too clearly. And the % not being shown after delivery is actually a bug, I hope it will get fixed before the official update release.
It was stressful for you for sure but you edited it well so it was really entertaining. I'm pretty new to the game (~70h) and earning a large amount by just doing log runs. 10 logs for ~120k reward the end. Need 3 loads and earning approx 15-20k...so it sums up to ~150-170k in roughly 45 minutes. What I learned from you(r videos) is the function of the camper. Would never guessed it. Thank you for that! I am wondering what is that bonus you are talking about? How does it work? Aunt Edit says: I also started a new character for 7.10. so I suggest to do so as well in your case
That's not bad, but still not as good as the coal run using shortcuts. That's a 20-30 min journey for £200k or more. The town effect bonus is from cleaning up the bin bags around the town. But on V7.10 you need to do bus routes, supply supermarkets and garbage runs rather than only garbage runs. I go into a little more detail in next episode. Tbh. I had no idea that the campy was a mobile spawn point until somebody told me in the comments 😂
Something that might strike a happy balance between people asking you not to show the garage and others wanting to know your builds could be just upload them to the workshop and leave the build code in your description. Honestly would also be nice to rock around the map with your bug logo on our trucks for people enjoying our series anyways.
The coffee with the skull on it that immediately comes to my mind is most likely Death Wish. They also I believe claimed the most caffeinated coffee grounds at one point.
I visited a McDonalds while I was in Korea for a year, and the portion differences from what I'm used to in the states was crazy. Although meals were smaller, they had some amazing region specific menu options! They had bulgolgi burgers, chicken nuggets in Korean BBQ sauce, and a ton more interesting things I can't quite remember.
I'm pretty new to the game. Less than 50 hours. My biggest payouts have all been related to vehicle deliveries using an owned Pulio wrecker. Delivering a trash truck from the north harbor to somewhere on the southern island can net over $50K if the load is undamaged. There's a trick to that, as well. The game isn't very fair about towed vehicle damage and it's not hard to end up with 100% damage even if being ultra-careful. Ghosts are the biggest worry. Never use autopilot if a big payout is on the table. Also, there's a nifty cheat if the game screws you. Simply disconnect the towed vehicle, exit to main menu, reload. Reconnect the towed vehicle. Damage should be reset to zero. Doesn't work if you leave the tow connected.
Well done for finding that out. I can only assume you found out by rage quitting and then it being back with full health the next time you logged on lol. But good shout, that's a very handy tip for me as I love vehicle deliveries (although I use the Lomax trailer to do 3-4 at a time) so that will be a useful tactic for the unfortunate failures. Thanks for sharing
Another thing I've noticed about the update, it looks like they have split the "town bonus" into multiple towns. Not sure how it affects the overall bonus.
The overall bonus is not there anymore. Every area has it's own bonus, and it gives you up to +30% payment bonus for any job you do in this area - it is not limited to a specific job anymore. For example if you want to deliver coal to Dasa Harbour you will need to increase bonus in Gapa (if you open the map and toggle town effect thingy, you can see clearly each area on the map). And to get bonus in that area you need to supply supermarket (food icon), transport passengers (bus icon), do the police patrol (police icon) and garbage collection (garbage icon). Each of this activity will contribute to population growth and will increase the bonus to up to 30%. (population can go even higher but bonus will not)
I think doing any short delivery contract for the maximum amount more than makes up for any nerf. 175k for the contract completion, bonus for each delivery at about 1.3k, and cash for the delivery itself. I am still keeping my bank account above a million with little effort and still buy all the things. Sorry for the second comment and another bringing up the dumpy, but I have been doing the off road coal mine run for a while now and I am running at about 50 to 80 mph in the desert portions. I much rather drive the dumpy than the GMC(je mu si phonetically in korean). It is SO much faster, even in the mud. You can even pick up massive amounts of garbage in it.
Yeah it is quicker, I'll give you that. I just found it tips very easily. Would you upload your parts setup and post it in the comments for me? Wait... What...? You do garbage runs in DUMPY? 😂 I struggle with a trailer ffs 🤣
It's all good, you can leave as many comments as you like, the TH-cam algorithm actually sees that as a good thing, so it helps the channel. Yeah I got over a mil for the first time recently but ruined it all in next episode (21) so I'm back in debt again 😂 but for good reason
@Mr-Bug-UK I ended up giving her the obvious 100mm wheel spacers all the way around. I softened the suspension with 6x80% springs and dampers to keep most of the wheels on the ground for traction. One of my Dumpys has a 3cm lift to take advantage of the softer springs, one is stock and one with -3cm, but I don't really see a difference between them except in the harshness of the force feedback in the wheel. She has +10 angle kit to help compensate for the double, locked differentials in the back. I left the anti-roll bars stock in the back, but gave her a 20% upgrade in the front, just to keep her upright.. I think it could go stiffer. 13 speed and 644 horses. Leave her in 5L for the trail and she eats. You want to take steep drop-offs as straight as possible because let's admit, it is still that top-heavy ol girl she always has been. I think if you flip, which can still happen, it more than makes up for it in the way you can just whip. Saw you on the leaderboard for taxi I think a few weeks back. Not sure if you saw it.
@Mr-Bug-UK if you keep your bank account low enough, you can still apply for food stamps(American government subsidised food program). No one needs to know your net worth.
It is a constant struggle to balance things.. if the game is to easy and you complete it to fast or have all the money in the world you stop playing. The goal is to get the next thing and if you have all the things .. well . I would like more micro jobs like picking up the dirt and loading the truck yourself for a big money bonus. It takes longer but has another job attached to it.
Yes, I agree there. I briefly touched on something similar from another comment suggesting loading the log trucks yourself or pallets with a forklift... That would be good
17k-18k (instead of 22k) for the coal is not that bad, is still a nice moneymaker? I mean, there are not a lot of jobs that are that easy to set up and do that make over 150k, for me the bread thingy can pay a little more (I managed around 380k-ish for 400-ish boxes), but takes a lot of time and manual labour to fill a box truck to max volume The Netherlands is basically doing a lot in English anyway. The new townbonus system looks a lot more complicated! But it does give a reason to do all kind of different jobs. and it is refreshing to see that the gameplay is having a higher priority over the UI
Yeah it's not as bad as it looks without the bonus. I made a mistake on the bonus system and tomorrow's episode (21) explains it a little better. I'm back on 7.10 now that I understand it a little better
Well that town bonus you got is 100% right. For "Gapa" (that should be "Oji" but nvm i guess WIP remember) it says 2% and you got that 2%. It is a bit stupid for the "town bonus" to be related with the whole Oji island and not with the town area. The south harbor is not called Gapa harbor after all. Try not to look at the game too closely or you will start seeing the cracks all over the place. Keep doing what you do and hope for the best.
This is very simple, Gapa is the only populated area at Oji right now, except for a mountain village, so it just affects the whole island. I am sure that when there are new towns added, the areas of their effect will be reworked. If you look at the map and check the "town effect zones" it is extremely easy to understand what affects what.
Oh wow. I hate when devs nerf things just for the sake of it. Especially since the coal roundtrip is already pretty long and tedious already WITHOUT the shortcut. About the McDonalds vs Burger King. Funnily enough, Burger King used to have better chicken wings than KFC. At least in my country. McDonald's has upper hand in regards of breakfast menu - their scrambled eggs and egg McMuffin are pretty decent, and compared to other fastfoods here, McDonald's has the best ice-cream.
I may be partially responsible for that one lol I don't remember BK ever doing wings, at least not it the UK Yeah McD's definitely has more variety on the breakfast menu

I do like this setup for the videos. Nice flow to it.
Thank you 😁 appreciate that

Very good idea, I've uploaded a bunch, and a bunch more in episode 21 (tomorrow) and will continue on this path instead of showing everything live
The coffee with the skull on it that immediately comes to my mind is most likely Death Wish. They also I believe claimed the most caffeinated coffee grounds at one point.
That's the bugger I was trying to think of lol. Very good coffee

I do love some of those Korean sauces. They are very talented with food over there
Nice
