The Rain Song is actually Led Zeppelin's response to George Harrison challenging them to write a love song/ballad because up to that point they had never done one. Meanwhile, Harrison's "Something" was one of the most beautiful songs ever written and was the best song on the Beatle's Abbey Road. What a response to a challenge made by a friend! Something and The rain song are easily two of the most beautiful love songs ever written.
As a gesture to Harrison, Jimmy Page used the first two notes of Harrison's "Something" as the first two notes of Rain Song.
Such a beautiful song, Led Zeppelin can diversify into so many different styles and many times all in one song. Greatest band ever, great reaction
The Rain Song - what a beautiful way to tell someone you love them . quite possibly my favorite Led Zeppelin song . can't wait for your reaction. Grateful Heart is really good - just like all your songs that I've heard .
Thank You on Led Zeppelin 2 is a beautiful Love song.
When this song hijacked my subconscious so many years ago, it pulled my psyche in every which way. I didn’t know what it was but I knew I loved it and it was plain beautiful. This song I think was the first experience I ever had of feeling absolutely euphoric, and sad - simultaneously. When I hear it today some 40 years later, I cry even still. Check out and react to its live version from New York, 1973.
This tune is a fave.. Like a warm hug!!.. Haven't seen your other Zepp tunes but faves : In my Time of Dying.. Nobody;s Fault but Mine.. How Many More Times.. Great reaction!!!
"Speak to me only with your eyes" might be my favorite lyric ever
My favorite track off of their 5th album, and possibly my favorite song of theirs overall. It just sets up such a mood! Thank you, Dear!
My favorite LZ song along with Since I've Been Loving You (the studio version is a masterpiece)
Absolutely gorgeous! Watch it live 1973!!
@@MrsPenPal Hi lady!! So glad you are doing Zeppelin!! 💜 Try No Quarter...you will love it!
And then I could hear "Over The Hills And Far Away" start to play in my head. If ever there was a Classic Album.
My goddess with my fav song ever..... im just dreaming, playing this song for you, on a porch, with light rain
Ooo Mrs PP you really gettin` into Led Zep these days, another great reaction vid as always.
MASTERPIECE OF ALL ROCK MUSIC(FROM THE MASTERS)
This has always being one of my favorites by LZ!! I’m so glad you enjoyed this!!
Lyrically, "The Rain Song" leans thematically on "Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall" by The Ink Spots, featuring Ella Fitzgerald, from 1955 and "Drown In My Own Tears" by Ray Charles from 1956. Dig those sus chords!
This is what one gets when you mix Classical & Blues..You get peanut butter & jelly...My favorite dual

you shouldv sang a longer solo
It's a freakin masterpiece.
I always feel a light sadness when I hear this song...
@@MrsPenPal Yes, there were some associations a long time ago, I do not remember, but good ones...
its ear candy
Please do research so when you listen you have a better understanding. This will allow a more in depth analysis. Thanks
I fear that “depth” researching would taint my raw perceptions of the video. It’s a First time reaction and I like experiencing things with fresh eyes I have an analytic mind and may get it wrong in the way I perceive things but that’s the beauty and authenticity and experiencing it in real time in a blank canvas gives me a richer experience as well as allows my viewers to appreciate what it is like to hear this without the back story or the insights the fans have
This is above her pay grade
Jimmy was on some shit with this one🤣
Thoughts on the The Rain Song?😇Hey, if you read this come, watch my latest track “Grateful Heart”:

@@MrsPenPalHave you ever cried while listening to a cover song other than the original song? Probably very rare. But it does exist and many singers, vocal coaches and producers have moved or cried while listening to her songs.
Since the explanation is going to be long, I will briefly introduce the evaluation and career of Korean singer Sohyang.
- David Foster (Producer Whitney Houston) invited her as the main singer for the 30th anniversary and sang 'I Will Always Love You' and 'I Have Nothing'.
- Michael Bolton.
I fell in love with her voice on a TV show (a tribute show) and performed with her after the show.
- Seth Riggs (Michael Jackson vocal coach)
Acclaimed as the only Asian singer who can cross the Western wall.
- John Henney (Britney Spears vocal coach) One of the best divas on the planet
- Lizaquin (Ricky Martin Producer)
sheds tears in response to TH-cam
cover song 'Bridge over Troubled Water'.
Ps. The reason she's not famous is because she a gospel singer, but she doesn't care about fame or popularity because she thinks that singing is a gift from God.Please listen to Whitney Houston's cover song and 'Bridge over Troubled Water'.
MrsPenPal I wish I had discovered you 10 months ago but hey better late than never right? I so very much enjoyed watching you react to my favorite Led Zeppelin song especially the dancing you were great!
