Excellent review as always! As for me, I prefer the V2 as well due to how good and fitting the watanabe wheels on this model are. The BRE livery is also one of the interesting points as it's legendary and so much cleaner looking than the previous ones. I know there's a plain GReddy ones coming but I don't think it suits the model. Speaking of the model also, it's not that I hate it nor underappreciated minigt and jun's work, but seeing this casting done repetitively is just somewhat boring imo, but that's just me though!

Hehe. Can’t really say since I haven’t seen those premium lines from Maisto. But yeah, the engine in this one is on the raw and unappealing side… which is why I like it. Fits the whole 70’s race car vibe. Back then, race cars didn’t really have nice looking engines.
@@Studio64diecasts it's not the physical appearance, it's just how shallow it is. ERTL and Shelby Collectibles, for example, used to have multi-piece engines shot in different colored plastics. Tubing, air filters, engine blocks and cross bars, you name it. These were the premium cars of their day and they costed no where near $20, even when adjusting for inflation. My problem is how hard Jun tries to sell the engine detail when it's very much on the cheap side, like the engines from those Maistos I mentioned.

Those engines are disgusting. They very much look like the $3-4 Maisto premium lines of the mid to late 2000s.
