I have a ton of Mytee machines, in my opinion they're not any better or worse than others or even truckmount machines. I have to admit i love ETM, i think it's the most versatile setup you can have with the least amount of downtime. I currently have 1- Vortex Lite, 1- LTD5-LX, 3-Air Hogs, 2-Water Hogs. I don't use them like most cleaners do i only operate them in pairs, i only operate them in the van only and i don't take any machine off the van to run as portable because i hate doing portables, and i only run 4 LX vac motors at all time in the van for great suction. The best part about ETM, when a machine is down all you do is take one out and put another in to finish the job that's why i have a lot of them i don't like fooling around with machine on the job, you can't do that with traditional gas truckmount machines. If you have only one truckmount and something goes wrong with it on the job you have to fool with it on the job if you know how to fix it, but if you don't know how to fix it you have to use a portable as backup and when you put the truckmount in the shop there's no telling how long it'll be before you get it back and by that time you'll be losing plenty of jobs. But with my ETM setup i don't have to worry about downtime, if a machine is down i always have another machine in the van next to it as backup with zero downtime. The only down side about running 4 LX vac motors is that i get more missed calls on my phone because my wand is always screaming and loud.
What kind of generator do you have? Running vortex with air hog is near 80amps!😮 *I just ordered a new LX motor for Vortex the first one got fried from PVC stack in waste tank not having a good seal...so I resealed it and bought add'l switches/lint hog. If this is a success I'll get another set of motors for my old speedster maybe restoring faith in Mytee
@@runzization I have a Mytee Vortex Lite with 2>800 psi pumps for sale, and also a Mytee LTD5-LX extractor for sale. Running air hog and vortex do not equal 80 amps. Air Hog is 3450 watts, Vortex Lite is 4140 watts and i run a 120000 watts generator.
@@lovingeachothernow thanks but I've got enough Mytee...under load yes amps go down so definitely less than 80. I did look at a Bane Clene. It did have a booster blower and for a 2 cord system I was actually impressed. The Positive displacement blower with pulleys did remind me of a gas truckmount as their is no choke or drag under load.
Yeah I got the air hog water hog combo, I like how they work but I am super careful about the connections and recovery tank over filling cuz of water that will spray out the exhaust on the plugs, it creates more work and takes me more time but yeah I can’t wait to get a real TM and be done with the water hose brigade. I’ve only gone through one switch in a year with the air hog and had my water hog for just a couple months. I only use the water hog for carpet and small tile jobs, my water otter is way more efficient for larger tile jobs, I use my porty and ETM about 60/40, 40% being the ETM and 60% being the porty, not putting a lot of hours on the air hog water hog cuz I know through the shared experience of you and some others about the Mytee parts. I’m looking into any reliable used TM that I can get right now.
I recently bought a vortex lite and my vac motor doesn't work. I even had magic wand send me a new ( yellow) circuit box and it still doesn't work. I've only had the machine for 6-7 months....and done only 4-5 jobs and its breaking down already......
Hey ATC your dropping facts about Mytee! 80 hours on Vac motor#1 and it was spitting water through motor!!(no pretreat no defoam) I believe there are a couple of vendors that carry a high performance 6.6 vac motor for Sandia(prospector) There is also a vendor in California that makes very high performance proprietary extractors using prospector shell

@@Metalhead0426 if your talking about using a truck mount its all about heat and psi,if your using a portable its all about the cleaner and scrubbing, theres great tile and grout chemicals out there, where most of the cleaning is done by the scrubbing,i use to clean tile and grout for a janitorial company only using a cylindrical machine and a wet vac and get premium results.
@Metalhead0426 can you clarify a bit more what you mean? You can clean at low pressures if you do a good job scrubbing and are just trying to rinse out a product with the extractor, but higher pressure definitely helps especially if you don't do much scrubbing. I don't think the video you've posted really showcases that "PSI doesn't really clean tile and grout, GPM does". The video does however showcase that the spinner wand is more effective (it appears to be spinning quicker) when the rate of flow is higher assuming the pressure is the same

That particular PE500 is a Sandia machine. Now I believe they use US Products machines for the Prospector. Sandia machines are definitely not any better than Mytee machines.
Im not sure who originally makes these. I know this style machine has several names. But just from my experience, the prospector isnt as powerful but it doesnt have the issues that mytee has. Ive never had to replace vac motors and switches. That machine now is 7 years old.
Ordered a new Prospector PE 5003 shortly after this posting this vid. Video coming soon!
I’m looking at the Sandia Snyper 1200 multi surface. I think it would be perfect for me starting out.
