A political war between the two with piltover special forces and zaunite budged soldiers stimulated with the glasc serum. I really hope that riot is continuing with this idea

As they died however, it was up to Renata to improve the chemical mixture, therefore the reason why it’s magenta-like rather than the ordinary green one. As she saw what it can do to people, Renata build her whole life around these effects present in her arm, robot colleague, and her industry itself.

I feel like we're going to get quite a few new champions from Piltover and Zaun, so that when Arcane comes around again, the show makes sense. That's probably why it took so little time for Renata to come out, she was being planned as soon as Arcane season two began.
Both lost an arm in a fire, centered on the place where a wonder drug was being produced. Both make a big deal about "loyalty". The ages match to the timeline of modern league. I'd believe it.
Man, Piltover and Zaun are getting such good story advances lately, mostly thanks to Arcane, but also to Renata. I love the "powerful individuals, political machinations and grand masterplans" thing the region has now. I always thought that was going to be Noxus, with the whole Black Rose being the Illuminati of Noxus thing and Swain's coup, and how they are also tied to other regions, with Cassiopeia for example. I can't help but feel like other regions are kinda falling behind. But I guess with the new Void event there will be significant advances in the lore of the Void, of course and Shurima. Anyways I think Piltover and Zaun are quickly becoming my favorite region. Up until Arcane, it was Targon, kinda because of the same reason, the whole "gods playing with mortals to fulfill their wishes" and the prospect that there is a huge war coming, with the Lunari becoming empowered because the moon also is, but Piltover and Zaun are just so interesting. Maybe it's because the political side of things and how that side of the story is progressing is well established in a lot of fantasy media, but they are executing on it so well.
Renata is that person who acts all nice to you but when it comes to it she will use you as a freaking footrest and tells you you're not even worthy of it
if you come from arcane and dont know much about the rest of runterra: piltover and zaun will prob be changed heavily in the mmo if you come not from arcane: they will do it like they always did, make up something new and if it works just retconn stuff to make it fit more. the mmo will probably be neither canon
I don't see why they would have to change much. Both of the technologies are born from magic sources, Hextech being made from magic brackern souls and Shimmer/Chemtech being made from the Void and void corrupted beings. The aesthetics may be different but they still fit in pretty well with the other regions. And its not like Shurima or Bilgewater don't have marvels of engineering and technology. Demacia may be the outlier but its by that regions design, they are supposed to be generic medieval by design.

It's pretty easy to implement, it's simply steampunk high fantasy which we can see in mom's like Guild Wars which still have old medieval castles alongside magical technology

Didn't the rioters in charge of her and the lore confirm that it's not shimmer, but the formula her parents devised? Maybe they are somehow connected though, as she has that voiceline with Singed. Who knows, maybe her formula was the prototype for shimmer
It's entirely possible they were developed along similar lines independently. There is some overlap in their side-effects, after all. They could just be chemically similar compounds.
I know that most of the Champion bios and stories set up something in the future but usually takes time to happen. But Renata's setup seems like it can actually happen sooner than later. I mean, her business is booming, glasc products is in every household. It's literally just a matter of time for her to fulfill her plans.
I love her realist and adaptive strategic mind set. She's useless at chem tech. So she uses her knowledge of business and experience from her parents being murdered to build a company while keeping threats in check by their own volition. She acknowledge talent and skill as a valuable resource, from personal experience. And takes their situation to recruit them. Her parents research is invaluable but finite. So she sparingly and strategically applies it in her decisions. Resourceful. She knows herself and her enemy. A good example of the art of war.
I think that purple substance she used is totally shimmer and Silco may have been working under Renata as the lore says that she turned her enemies into partners. She may have used him to sell shimmer. Maybe we will see this idea in the next arcane season but for now it may be only a teaser.
arcane and league are diffrent universes and not connected at all. please dont mix them together because they have story elements that cannot coexist and therefore any vision build on both will colapse

I've got a theory that the main green is some refined shimmer. In Ruined King, there is "Shimmerwine", which is green. This also makes sense with Singed's insanity potion. Just a random theory with no evidence tho lol.
Extending people lives while making them suggestible and/or violent IS the shimmer thing, they are just careful to not mention it yet because, in theory, we have no in-universe introduction to shimmer since they decided that Arcane canon is not part of the Universe one... at least for the foreseeable future
There are only two reasons I can imagine this is 1) They want to see the totality of both old and new fan reactions to the completed series, not just the end of Season 1, before what decided to write in or rewrite (my opinion: most of it. Caitlyn still gets her "C" plot, Ekko's parents are alive and Benzo is just a beloved mentor/uncle figure to Ekko instead of a replacement parent, and Jayce and Viktor just invent the Hex Gates and Hexcore, not all of hextech. The other changes or filled in blanks all stick.) or 2) They really don't want to have to commit to anything canon because they want to change the story to whatever marketing tells them whenever they get a whim. I'm sympathetic to the former, even though I will be waiting exceedingly long for that delicious canonization of my introduction to Runeterra. But the later will make me try and find Pyke's murder list so I can put Riot's management and marketing departments names on it.
It's just so silly to me that they're expanding their brand in such a blue ocean approach while simultaneously maintaining entirely different versions of the lore in their main products. People who don't play video games or even watch animated media love Arcane. It's just that good. So why would you bring in all these new consumers to your brand and say "actually, none of that is true. This cobbled together mass of inconsistent short stories we strung together over a decade is what's true."

Since shimmer was introduced in arcane (which was set in the past) maybe, chemtech and or the chemtech chemicals are refined versions of shimmer. Since shimmer had really bad side effects (like on jinx, viktor, warwick, etc) the medicine that renata's parents were working on was a form of shimmer but not pure shimmer. Because the chemtank in game has been shown in arcane and we know is powered by shimmer. But in same its still called chemtank. Thats just my theory though!

I think Renata is a good main antagonist for Piltover&Zaun, she is interesting and unlike Viego (very much unlike Viego), she is actually threatening, I mean Viego is dangerous too, but he looks hilarious for a main antagonist (he really looks like a stripper). Her main goal is to get the control over the Sun Gates, these gates are similar to the teleport tower in Arcane, but they are just normal gates. Since Arcane is not canon, in the canon universe that teleport gate was never built, so it wouldn't be unlikely to see Renata in Arcane season 2, but there she wants to get control over that teleport gate instead of the Sun Gates. Though they really need to clarify everything about that show, maybe they will make it, or at least some parts of it canon, just for the sake of not confusing people who are new to the universe, nor people who know it very well

Because the formula was made by her parents when she was younger before chemtech was refined the could've been using shimmer for the original formula which Renata never changed both because she didn't know how to but also to have a killswitch for all of Piltover and Zaun.
I'm so looking forward to the potential future set-up. That just brings out so many potential for other champs like Seraphine since her existence is literally just to "unite" PnZ. What if she's the only one immune to the Glasc serum due to her amplifier? She could probably the only one who can sort of "wear out" the effect of the serum since she can just use the people's song and get them back to their senses. I just hope she had a better bio though, literally nothing explained her powers. 💀

I believe it is indeed Shimmer or a more upgraded version of it and they (Riot) sooner or later will try or have to find ways to connect to the bigger storyline of Arcane and the lore of Lol in general. Her plans could go well and then Piltover and Zaun could end up under a semi-totalitarian tyranny of a company but if it goes without proper thinking,maybe some other more powerful sources could use these products for themselves (Void perhaps). Also in my opinion for Arcane no matter what people say even Necrit(with all the respect and love that I have for him and his videos) is not 100% to be not canon, based on other people's thoughts or many things that connect to the actual storyline. Arcane can both be connected to the current lore many times or the game lore can take and change stuff of the universe based on Arcane. So for me it is both (canon/non-canon) until proven otherwise.
I'm surprised that there are still Chem barons left, after Urgot went around killing them on his "the world is for the strong" crusade, now that he is in jail and after his falied escape attemp, I image the only real threat for Renata is Camille, but is more than likely Camille will use Cait and Vi to take her down.

Didn't the rioters in charge of her and the lore confirm that it's not shimmer, but the formula her parents devised? Maybe they are somehow connected though, as she has that voiceline with Singed. Who knows, maybe her formula was the prototype for shimmer
It's entirely possible they were developed along similar lines independently. There is some overlap in their side-effects, after all. They could just be chemically similar compounds.

I know that most of the Champion bios and stories set up something in the future but usually takes time to happen. But Renata's setup seems like it can actually happen sooner than later. I mean, her business is booming, glasc products is in every household. It's literally just a matter of time for her to fulfill her plans.
I love her realist and adaptive strategic mind set.
She's useless at chem tech. So she uses her knowledge of business and experience from her parents being murdered to build a company while keeping threats in check by their own volition.
She acknowledge talent and skill as a valuable resource, from personal experience. And takes their situation to recruit them.
Her parents research is invaluable but finite. So she sparingly and strategically applies it in her decisions. Resourceful.
She knows herself and her enemy. A good example of the art of war.
I feel like Mundo must be associated with Glasc Industries somehow. It’s the exact same colour chemical in his tubes.

I think that purple substance she used is totally shimmer and Silco may have been working under Renata as the lore says that she turned her enemies into partners. She may have used him to sell shimmer. Maybe we will see this idea in the next arcane season but for now it may be only a teaser.
arcane and league are diffrent universes and not connected at all. please dont mix them together because they have story elements that cannot coexist and therefore any vision build on both will colapse

I've got a theory that the main green is some refined shimmer. In Ruined King, there is "Shimmerwine", which is green. This also makes sense with Singed's insanity potion. Just a random theory with no evidence tho lol.
Extending people lives while making them suggestible and/or violent IS the shimmer thing, they are just careful to not mention it yet because, in theory, we have no in-universe introduction to shimmer since they decided that Arcane canon is not part of the Universe one... at least for the foreseeable future

There are only two reasons I can imagine this is 1) They want to see the totality of both old and new fan reactions to the completed series, not just the end of Season 1, before what decided to write in or rewrite (my opinion: most of it. Caitlyn still gets her "C" plot, Ekko's parents are alive and Benzo is just a beloved mentor/uncle figure to Ekko instead of a replacement parent, and Jayce and Viktor just invent the Hex Gates and Hexcore, not all of hextech. The other changes or filled in blanks all stick.) or 2) They really don't want to have to commit to anything canon because they want to change the story to whatever marketing tells them whenever they get a whim. I'm sympathetic to the former, even though I will be waiting exceedingly long for that delicious canonization of my introduction to Runeterra. But the later will make me try and find Pyke's murder list so I can put Riot's management and marketing departments names on it.
It's just so silly to me that they're expanding their brand in such a blue ocean approach while simultaneously maintaining entirely different versions of the lore in their main products. People who don't play video games or even watch animated media love Arcane. It's just that good. So why would you bring in all these new consumers to your brand and say "actually, none of that is true. This cobbled together mass of inconsistent short stories we strung together over a decade is what's true."

Since shimmer was introduced in arcane (which was set in the past) maybe, chemtech and or the chemtech chemicals are refined versions of shimmer. Since shimmer had really bad side effects (like on jinx, viktor, warwick, etc) the medicine that renata's parents were working on was a form of shimmer but not pure shimmer. Because the chemtank in game has been shown in arcane and we know is powered by shimmer. But in same its still called chemtank. Thats just my theory though!

Honestly with arcane supposedly having a collab with fenty, I’m kinda disappointed that it didn’t seem to go anywhere especially now that renata is in the picture, it could have been perfect!
I think Renata is a good main antagonist for Piltover&Zaun, she is interesting and unlike Viego (very much unlike Viego), she is actually threatening, I mean Viego is dangerous too, but he looks hilarious for a main antagonist (he really looks like a stripper). Her main goal is to get the control over the Sun Gates, these gates are similar to the teleport tower in Arcane, but they are just normal gates. Since Arcane is not canon, in the canon universe that teleport gate was never built, so it wouldn't be unlikely to see Renata in Arcane season 2, but there she wants to get control over that teleport gate instead of the Sun Gates. Though they really need to clarify everything about that show, maybe they will make it, or at least some parts of it canon, just for the sake of not confusing people who are new to the universe, nor people who know it very well

She could probably the only one who can sort of "wear out" the effect of the serum since she can just use the people's song and get them back to their senses. I just hope she had a better bio though, literally nothing explained her powers. 💀

I believe it is indeed Shimmer or a more upgraded version of it and they (Riot) sooner or later will try or have to find ways to connect to the bigger storyline of Arcane and the lore of Lol in general. Her plans could go well and then Piltover and Zaun could end up under a semi-totalitarian tyranny of a company but if it goes without proper thinking,maybe some other more powerful sources could use these products for themselves (Void perhaps). Also in my opinion for Arcane no matter what people say even Necrit(with all the respect and love that I have for him and his videos) is not 100% to be not canon, based on other people's thoughts or many things that connect to the actual storyline. Arcane can both be connected to the current lore many times or the game lore can take and change stuff of the universe based on Arcane. So for me it is both (canon/non-canon) until proven otherwise.
