BDO should really start making animations or videos regarding their lore. the world is now expanding and a few years we’re going to go back in time, we need a better lore presentation. glad that Verdict is doing that job now.
I love the mistery in the lore. For example in odyllita quesline we do not know who is the thornwood goddes, could be sylvia as ahibs believe and we actually do not know cause it is really old history. We can not believe what some factions tell us, we take it as one more possibility and not a rule written in stone.Maybe will not be able to figure it out all the puzzle just like in real history.
You have a lot of great lore content, it's very sad to see that it doesn't get as many views as it deserves and probably isn't as financially rewarding as it should be but I'm still happy to see you keep making videos on your own pace and bring this great content for people who care. I love the lore in BDO, and I come from other mmos kinda appreciated for their story like FF14, GW2 and ESO. Some of the texts are rough/bad translated and the old quests have a bad presentation with no cutscenes or things shown to you. But what is happening is nice, the politics are good enough and the mystery behind all the history. I hope they continue to improve on them not only with the new quests but revamping the old ones like they did with Balenos/Serendia/Calpheon. To be honest I think it can be as good as the ones I cited, some of them for me was even a letdown and I would say I play BDO for its lore more than I do GW2, for example. I say all that and I didn't even do most of the things in it yet, likei all the Succ/Awakening quests!!

Some are maybe seeing it for the first few minutes and because the first few minutes were not interesting enough, then they say that the game has bad lore without actually knowing it at all. Of course they may not like it if they don't get invested in it, many good things need time. For sure not everyone may like the lore even if they do see it all, but most people are saying bad things without having seen almost anything at all. Well and then there are some who are saying negative things only because they heard it from someone else, but without really knowing anything at all again. Some people just want to hate
Problem with Aal is that Black Desert wasn't always desert, something happen and this is result, it was said in past that where was tower, but story may change with time (BDO have change story few times from it launch). I would say it maybe that Aal is strong individual too, but not god. And what about goddess which created Kzarka? BTW what about ruins under see, and not about Sycraia, there are more of them, and they look as wasn't under water at some point, where was I think one quest from Shakatu to explore them.
actually 🤓 Dehkia didn't make the lantern. Yolu did - his traitorous disciple - but when Lafi and others found it they assumed it was made by Sage but we find out they were wrong later in questline. Yolu wanted to bring Hadum's powers to this world with it which is why it does what it does... so we're basically playing with a nuke 😅
Incorrect, it's created by Orze through Dehkia's teachings. They had a fight on how such power should be wielded, Orze finished the lantern without Dehkia knowing.
Whoever the god who Elion is a front for (pretty sure its godr ayed/lord of stars end) as even though he does not mention it, the nobles are controlled by a shadow group who wear similar clothes as the elion priests (but I forgot their name)
I never spam R and I’ve done the quests multiple times during the past few years. So I’ve seen the changes and played the old crossroads. BDO lore is interesting and engaging but the writers aren’t polished in the way western mmo players expect. Saying that, I did “get the feeling” that Elionism is somewhat of a scam. There’s also a lot of “abandoned” content that gets missed when they revamp, improve and speed up the new player experience. It’s better now than in 2019 but I can also see how ppl get the impression that it’s written in crayon. Hopefully you’ll cover Odylitta soon and I can finally understand that absolute mess of a story. Even after reading the dialogue, the quest text, the npc “acting”, and the knowledge entries that was the least comprehensible story in the game for me.
