I was so surprised by the quality of the songs in this album. I didn’t expect them to top Moment but they did! They sound just like DT but it’s different. A definite big surprise

You're always so spot on in your reviews. I love the new record, it's got their most heavy songs in a while yet there's One of Us is Gone which floored me. This is right up there with Emptier Still and Auctioned as some of my favorite DT songs.
From what I’ve able to gather from reading early reviews there are 4 tracks which feature clean singing; two are full blown ballads (One Of Us Is Gone and False Reflection) while Not Nothing and Wayward Eyes alternate between clean and harsh vocals.
I disagree, for example: Projector, Haven and Constructor sound different. Some albums are heavier, others with a more presence on keyboards. In some Stanne sings only guttural and in others he also incorporates clean vocals. For me they are the most consistent Melodic Death Metal band, I agree with that
I haven't been this excited about an album in a long time. Moment did't work for me. Stanne's vocals couldn't save that album from being bland. New singles are already more diverse and better than Moment was. Unforgivable is my favorite song so far this year. The aggression is back at long last with great melodies. Just perfect. And Not Nothing is the other side of perfect. Just hoping rest of the album can also reach greatness. Great review Pedro!
Thought moment was their weakest effort. Not bad. But very bland. Only dt album i dont revisit on a regular basis. I actually thought that would be their last album. But - high hopes for this one being atoma 2.0!!!
@@adamagedone Weird, I read that first 3 songs are all fast. Drowned Out Voices also has to be a fast one bc One of Us Is Gone is a ballad and Not Nothing and The Last Imagination are mid. No way they put 3 mid tempo songs and a ballad in a row. That's not how you build a metal album. Not a good one at least. And they know it.
@@MikaelNora If by "fast song" we mean a song that feature some share of thrash/death metal rhythmic patterns (The New Build, Focus Shift, Final Resistance, Unforgivable) than Shivers And Voids and Neuronal Fire are NOT fast songs, I'm almost 100% positive on that. Drowned Out Voices on the other hand could be but I doubt it. As for how you build a metal album, well, Damage Done had only two fast songs as well.
@@adamagedone That's not what I meant. Songs like When the World Screams and Encircled are fast but kinda still light and the drumming is very simplistic. The New Build and Unforgivable are aggressive and heavy. We Are the Void was the last album that had that kind of material so I fully welcome that kind of style back. I didn't think Neuronal or Shivers to be like that. I got the picture that those are fast guitar driven tracks with barely any keyboards in them. I just watched The Metal Meltdown review while writing this and yeah there is another aggressor. Few more days and we also get to hear it. I think it will be great! How many tracks contain clean vocals, and are there any with all cleans like In Truth Divided? I’m a huge fan of how much they were used in Moment.

From what I’ve read so far there aren’t many fast songs like Unforgivable on this album, only Enforced Perspective and possibly another one.
