Oh I'm so so glad the algorithm made this video pop up! I'm in love with everything in this video and I'm excited to explore the artists Estelle mentioned 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I believe everyone should buy art that is about them. While I understand there's the business side to art, we as humans grow and change through our lives and art can serve as a personal growth marker to either remind us of where we have been or where we want to go. Regardless of the price or status of the artist if you resonate with it then it's the art for you. Use the walls you look at everyday to better yourself and be a daily reminder of your mental selfcare.
I really enjoyed watching this video. I have only just begun to collect authentic African art (there’s a lot of knockoff stuff here in the USA made in China). This video is educational for me 👏🏾☺️🙏🏾👍🏾
Nigerian and haitian art is my favorite, I believe Nigerian art will be one of the best investments both financially and mentally over the next few years.
@@lazsamdi5712 I am going to Nigeria for my first time after elections end next year. Going to go to be buying up all the art I can afford. I live in Texas and have never left the United States, so this is my first real adventure out of the country. So excited … I have a lot of friends in Nigeria and will have a personal security detail. So excited
@@temiloluwafilms amen, my house is covered in Nigerian art and it makes every day better. Hosting parties is so great because everyone just adores my art collection. Excited to see what the next few decades will hold

Well done. Spoken like a true collector. And adding your own personal provenance to your collection as you’ve done makes it all the more special and valuable. Buen gusto (good taste) as we say here in Mexico.👏🏽🙌🏽✨
Estelle, thanks for sharing your collection, wonderful. Could you share the name of the figurative artist who did "Bigger man is the humble man" . I would love to research more about the artist. Thanks
Hello, great video. Love your art. You mention the only print you have is by an artist whose name I didn't catch. It's the framed print on the chair. Who is the artist? Thanks!
It's a real shame that there's no links or even just a list of the artists whose work is shown. I've tried googling what I think she's saying when she names an artist, but haven't had any luck. Even her foundation that's supposed to benefit artists, has no information about any contemporary artists they support. Seems a bit self-aggrandizing.
She has a beautiful collection, but I’m very disappointed in the lack of women artist. There are plenty beautiful art works by African women, so I wonder why she has barely invested?

The music is irritating , should never ever be there!
