WTF Pete? Are You serious? Great compressor for bicycle tires or maybe an air brush. You don’t even mention the CFM. I’d be embarrassed too. That is a Fisher Price compressor at best. I used to have a 30 gallon oil free compressor, I'd get maybe a solid minute da sanding before it bogged down. That 13 gallon is only good for air brushing or sanding/painting a mirror cap
Thanks Pete for all the great content , glad to see you get a little sponsorship. You deserve it as much as any other master sharing all his trade secrets . God bless you sir

I bought a big compressor from Harbor Freight and it works great and is much quieter than my old bigger compressor that still works good but I wanted one a little smaller and quieter. The price was great and and it paid for itself just by cutting my electric bill quite a bit! I've had it for 3 years and I haven't had any problems with it yet. Pete I listen to everything you have to say and you’ve taught me a lot over the years, but I don’t agree with you on this compressor. Before I could afford a compressor I bought a craftsman 30 gal compressor. They run so much that they get overheated and turn air into water.

My friend Pete, I'm trying to save my restoration project, I have a NOS hood out of the box for 70-72 SS Chevelle, El camino, it's cowl not cowl induction, has GM STICKER. I have my original I thought 900 to 1000 would get me out of my jam, I stored it 35 years!

I built my own compressor from bits I picked in a scrapyard. I got a huge double cylinder air conditioning unit that was on top of a K -Mart they tore down. Grabbed a 220v 5hp motor new for $169.00. Big tank from the scrap pile and rigged it up. Cost me like $300 all together for a $2,000 compressor. It's a beast! Quiet as a mouse too.😉✌

I almost bought a vevor small wood lathe to make turkey calls with but went with the green one at harbor freight just because I was able to touch it and look it over in person
In 1991 when I came home from war in the middle east(US Army veteran here) amd my motivaton in the trenches many a desert cold night to survive the war no matter what was to get home,...from the war, alive,, with my 82 camaro in West Germany shipped to the USA on discharge, to put a big engine in it and to PAINT IT which I did, I knew I needed a compressor,...bought a Sanborn made in the USA oiless 20 gallon compressor, ..still own it., but not as good as that gem you show, wished I had one... I used it to use air ratchets,...air tools,....and of course paint a few cars and partial car paintings, interior of cars and the entire inside of a old garage with white paint to fight bug infestation with bug poison, and to make light bounce around. Someone gave me a large campbell hausfeld 30 or 40 gallon oiless upright monstor several months ago,...used it, but now after watching videos of older compressor failures I worry,...think I will keep them in the shed when they pump, safely away from my body, in case the tanks ever fail....
I have one of those harbor freight 8gal oil fed compressors with the big motor on it and honestly seems to work better then this compressor it works well enough for me that I never really use my 60gal 220v compressor at home anymore last month I painted a Subaru with a lvlp gun and never had pressure drop or anything I've also used grinders and cutoff wheels and same thing even tho it runs at times constantly those 8gal compressors are able to keep up with the pressure I'd recommend more something like that then this compressor unless you want the low level noise this compressor gives thats the only selling point for me
Thanks for videos Pete. I was wondering if you can do a video on what compressor ratings one would need to restore a car. How many gallons? CFM?PSI?HP rating? ETC. About to do metal work, body work, and paint on an old cadillac. Thank you again for all you do my friend.
You have to look at the specs of the spray gun and be at least that many or more,it's the tool that uses the highest CFM. Also you'll loose pressure depending on how long your hose is.Tank size matters and then so does the voltage 115 or 220
Thats a good hobby air compressor.. The one I would have recommended to some one starting out would have been the old 26 gallon 3hp harbor freight any where from $269 to $359.. But now is discountinued was an oil lubed single stage.. Very long life now their replacement made by Mcgraw is $549 so you see where im going cost went up after 2020 you know why.... Plus the vevor your using is a oilless design not meant for long runs but still a good hobby compressor light duty work... Glad I bought one has 400hrs+ on it still strong... And yes I added the hr meter to it.
