- Ghost Captain Haulover Inlet Boats
Haulover Inlet is a man-made channel in Miami-Dade County, Florida. It connects the northern end of Biscayne Bay with the Atlantic Ocean. The inlet was cut in 1925 through a narrow point in the sand between the cities of Bal Harbour and Sunny Isles.
The inlet entrance channel is 400 feet wide and 14 feet deep. It's dangerous to navigate because it features:
Sandbars
Rock walls
Strong tide currents
Gusty onshore winds
There is no speed limit at Haulover Inlet.

How come the water is so green, and then it's blue?
This happens during the tides. Brackish water mixing with the ocean water. It’s actually really cool it forms a line between the 2 sometimes because they don’t mix together very fast. It will go from green to blue instantly sometimes
Also water depth can help play a role in this.

The guy captaining the Whaler is out there all the time and knows how to handle Haulover. Your video title is very misleading showing a flats boat being towed as a ghost captain.🙄
Titles are very short and open to multiple interpretations. Not everyone interprets them the same way. We never said No Captain. What if we meant there was a captain who simply couldn't be seen.
