    Wow, I found your videos from Pinterest. I watched several videos and you’ve answered all my questions. I just discovered Mochila and I’m excited to get started! But first I need to go buy a smaller hook 😂 Thank you so much!!

      @@MarionVerloop Unfortunately I do not have a Facebook account. I wanted to take the same steps and apply them also to recreate a hat my son wore when he was a toddler, except I want it to be bigger. It has his name on it and I haven't found anything on TH-cam or Pinterest that does that.

      DC CD It is possible to make a hat. I have seen some. I don’t think I have seen a pattern for it.

    Marion, I am new to this Technic of crochet and I was wondering if you could please make a video were you could show this same pattern you are using starting at 3:17 and show us actually with hook and thread how is done? I would REALLY appreciate it. Thank you.

      Sandra Benesch did you see my other videos? In the video, Mochila basic techniques I show how I crochet.

      I AM SORRY, I guess I did not make my self clear, I know how to crochet, I have been crocheting for almost 50 years, I just wanted to see how you would do the increases on an actual crochet item using the pattern you have in the video, because I have never used a pattern like it before. this pattern is intended for Bead work, not crochet, so I am not clear as to when you do the increases according to the pattern.

      Sandra Benesch Are you a member of the Facebook group Mochila bags crochet? In that group we have a file to explain the whole technique. We also have a beginner bag, with written instructions.

    Hello friend, I would like to know if you know how to solve the problem that this program has when designing with a rosette base with a number of rounds greater than 22, because the increases that occur for each round are 8 points, They do not work on round 22, since they go from 168 stitches on round 21 to 184 stitches on round 22, which means that you skip the 176 stitches that round 22 should really have, and round 23 is the one that should have 184 points.
    So my question is: how to transfer the design given by the program to the real fabric if the stitches are not correct? Of course, in Rosette stitches greater than 22 rows. eg 30, 31 rounds or rows. Thanks

    • @MarionVerloop
      @MarionVerloop  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This program is made for bead designs. I guess you need the double amount of increases for that.
      You could make the double amount of increases for round 22.
      Or you can leave those extra stitches empty in your design. Do as of they are not there. I hope this makes sense.

    Hi Marion, I'm trying to grasp the increase technique. Why does the pattern that can be divided into 4 equal parts need 2 increases in each part?

    • @MarionVerloop
      @MarionVerloop  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nanna Faulk The patterns all have 8 increases each round. Most patterns can be divided in 8 equal parts. In 1/8th of the pattern there is 1 increase each round.
      Some patterns can only be divided in 4 equal parts. If there would be only one increase in 1/4th part of the pattern, then you would have only 4 increases each round. That's why there are 2 increases per round marked.
      Does this help?

    • @nannaf4653
      @nannaf4653 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Somewhat yes. Why is 8 the least amount of increases -Trying to understand why it starts at 8. Also, if a design can only be divided into 3 parts (say it's 3 cats or whatever) can I not have 3? Hope that makes sense.

    • @MarionVerloop
      @MarionVerloop  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nanna Faulk The program we use to make patterns only has 8 increases. The program is originally made for bead designs. There are not many people who can make a flat and firm bottom with only 8 increases. That is why most people increase 10 or 12 times.
      To do 10 or 12 increases you divide the pattern in 8 equal parts and crochet 1/8th 10 or 12 times.
      Dividing a pattern in 3 equal parts is impossible, you can't divid 8 by 3.
      Do you have Facebook? I have a Facebook group about Mochila, the name is Mochila bags, crochet. In the group we have many information about the technique. We also have a beginner bag with written instructions.

    • @nannaf4653
      @nannaf4653 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ty for the info. I didn't know it's due to a program. Makes sense now. I can have 3 cats as long as entire pattern is divisible by 8...(if 4 parts then do 2 increases each 1/4 part). Got it! Thanks again!

    I wish everyone would stop saying 8 or 10 increases - depending on the number of chains your start - 8, 10, 12 etc - you'll get the number of times the pattern is repeated - but the increases - 2 sc in one - that will happen every round - so is not 8 increases - you will increase your stitches a number of times on each round - starting with your first found will be 2sc in each stitch, the second will be 1 stitch between the increases, then 2 stitches between increases, then 3 and 4 and so on

    • @MarionVerloop
      @MarionVerloop  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Melanie Shepherd Sorry, but I don’t agree with a few things you say.
      With Mochila you do not start with chain stitches, but you start with the magic circle. For 10 increases you start with 5 stitches in the magic circle, then increase to 10, 20, 30 etc. For 12 increases you start with 6 stitches in the magic circle, then increase to 12, 24, 36 etc.
      If you want your pattern to look good, you cannot use a standard increase system. The placements of the increases depends on the pattern and can therefore be different for each pattern.
