Just for perspective, in the book, it’s clear why everyone is so scared or put so much respect for Ming. It’s because of Ming’s family background. His Dad is in high position in Military and his family business is one of the biggest in their country. Even in entertainment industry, they’re one of the biggest too. So everyone wants to be in Ming’s good side or at least not in his bad side because it would mean the end of their career. That’s why Tong wants to marry Ming’s sister too. He wants power and more money. And he wants full control of their family, so Tong is always try to keep Ming close. He knew Ming like him, even though he’s with his sister, he wants to keep both close. Tong is the red flag from the start.

Unbelievble the way Poom is able to act sooo well only with his eyes and facial expressions. Poom is really unique for this insane skill... And the way Up is acting like a natural "helevator" from villian Ming to human Ming sooo fluent is just wooow... They are together such a strong couple not only visual but soooo goood in acting!!!

When it comes to why Joe took the deal with Ming I think you have to remember that old Joe basically grew up without parental love. He's been alone almost his entire life. So to have someone who sacrificed so much to save her son, it means a lot to him. Because Joe didn't have that growing up he craves it now, it's like giving❤ a starving man food. It was Joe's loneliness that made him blind to the warning signs when it came to Ming in the first place.
This entire time, Tong has been a stand-in for OG Joe's back & Ming didn't even know it 😒

I'm loving Up in this role! He brings such a complex character to life so so well! I love to hate him and I also love that I can see some cracks into a softer side now. I like that he's got depth to him and isn't a one dimensional character. I also like that the show isn't romanticizing how horrible he is to him like some other BLs do. And all the characters (including Joe) acknowledge how bad he is. It's very refreshing! I usually hate toxic main characters but that's usually because it's romanticized/not acknowledged as toxic or done very one dimensionally. Up is such a talented actor and I love what he's brought to this role!

Anyway, I was like...what the hell is going on in this episode? I was like...it took him 7 episodes to figure out that it was Joe this whole time. I wanna say finally, but...his love for Joe is obsession. The feelings are ther for Joe but it's the way how he treats him with them. Also.. I think there's a hidden story between Ming and Tong, like why is he trying to get rid of everyone that gets near Ming? I'm keeping my theory that something went down between them two, and there's some type of control he has over Ming. Just like Ming having control over Joe. I also think that Sol can sense something from new Joe. Like something is off. Just like how Ming feels it, too. Oof...the mess just keeps on coming! Cant wait til episode 8👏🏼👏🏼

15:55 Remember Ming went to the fortuneteller who said that Joe is neither dead or alive and it's been many instances since Joe came back in the new body that Ming just felt a connection and even like new Joe is too much like old Joe. So he is suspecting something happened when they had their accident at the same time and that new Joe somehow is old Joe.
Just like many people around the world are religious and believe in different god's and other supernatural things too other than gods like ghosts and angels some believe in souls coming back and reincarnations of different sorts.

The last scene with Ming saying he's sorry is so much. On the hand he's apologizing on the other he's still confusing him with the past Joe.

I sincerely hope Ming won't receive a redemption arc. Ming's behavior is still obsessive, manipulative and unhinged, despite his tearful revelation at the end of the episode. In my opinion, Ming continues to reveal red flags that Joe dare not ignore. Toxic people (especially those who physically and sexually assault and kidnap others) rarely heal without professional intervention, so there should be no pairing between Joe and Ming until they address their individual disorders. And that applies to Joe too because he suffers from submissive personality disorder.
Actually in the novel when Joe was missing Ming went searching for him when everyone said Joe was dead Ming made them search for months were Joe fell and in the novel it was an avalanche Ming suffered a lot when Joe went missing and I am not excusing what Ming did to Joe in the novel he wouldn’t eat , drink he stay in his room it got so bad that his brother thought that Ming would die the only thing that brought him back was working in hopes that Joe would see it and come home I don’t want to give any more spoilers but the novel is good it shows each character more in depth the series can’t put the whole novel but it is taking some good key points I am just surprised they made the sister nice because in the novel she is mean

I TRIED TO HOLD OUT BUT LACKED THE DISCIPLINE .... BEST SERIES IN 2024 SO ..FAR not sure what can top this ... I get Ming i Do ... i don't think he is a red flag in that he is deliberately being mean .. he is just needs to be locked in a mental hospital and get therapy ...
The moment I realised it's based on a novel, I was thinking, "It's the typical Chinese story." All the last few books I read are transmigration or resurrection or bodyswap.

I'm not really seeing how everyone is saying ming is the worst guy in BL history. He is an ass, For sure. But not the worst. I've seen far worse
Ming gives me all sorts of feelings from the 1st to the 7th episode .... i like him , i feel bad for him , i pity him .. Never Hate though ... he is cutting with his words when he feel vulnerable ... you can see that he has always wanted to love Joe ( he bought the cups Joe wanted , he removed his top of the line watch to wear the one Joe gives him, he was mean about the pillow cases but Never complained when Joe used them , one they are home. he is always wearing Joe's clothes ... but he just doesn't trust anyone or even himself ( from the little hints they have given only the sister has shown him any real love and attention )
@@Nelly-44in the novel the sister is bad to him, the his brother is the one that loves him and helps him. The dad is bad to the grandfather is ok and so is the mom.

This was such a good episode. I still can’t stand Ming, but hopefully going forward he will treat Joe better. I think Joe better watch out for Tong, because it looks like he doesn’t want Ming being close to anybody but him. This is currently one of my favorite shows with great acting and a creative storyline.
