Invaluable confidence building video. I've replaced and repaired many bicycle tubes and tyres, but never on a motorcycle. Your video has given me the confidence to attempt a tube repair, or tyre replacement on my Himalayan. Thank you 👍
Good advice, take your time don`t get mad. I agree with your technique. There is a device, a cable with a valve cap fixed one end, so you can pull the valve through the hole with the cable. I still prefer your method, as I would lose that tool in no time!
I don’t want to tell you how to suck eggs but if you leave the inner tube out before you put the tyre on you have 50% less chance of nipping the tyre keep up the good work
I would also say, the tube isnt in any danger putting on the first bead because it is protected by the tire. Rubber is between it and the spoon. It is the second bead that directly exposes the tube, where one must be careful. The advantage, though, is the stem is already seated. Just another way of doing it and useful for riders who dont have the dexterity to get the stem lined up doing it the other way.

No debates there. Math wise - yep. Eggs are healthy on occasion.

This is the same method Lyndon Poskitt, Dakar racer and trans-continental off road explorer uses.
