Damn, what an epic documentation of this year's matsuri. Without knowing it, I went to the japanese garden of Hamburg on the same day, and although cherry blossom looks MUCH different here, it did have a slight japanese vibe to it. Still, looking at this sakura season through your eyes/lens is breathtaking - thanks so much for sharing! 💗

Still although I'd consider them "large", they are tiny compared to a normal garden and are maybe 100x100m.. Another difference might be that the gardens in Germany aren't able to grow the more subtropical plant species, and also bamboo here reaches heights of max 3m or so 😆 All in all I'd say German japanese gardens are close to what fancy countryside japanese backyards would look like 🤷🏻♂️
