After getting my hands on a 3090, I keep coming back to this video to reminisce on the best and worst time for Graphics Cards, especially as it went downhill after the 40 Series. The 30 Series was a great generation that came out at the wrong time.
It was a shitty generation, the worst it ever has been. I had a 2080ti and upgrading to a 3080 was just dumb and that's why I didn't even upgrade, with small shitty improvement, even 3090 wasn't a big jump from 2080ti while the 4090 slaughters the 3080 and 3090, completely destroys them. 40 series is the best. I only count the 4090 which I bought, it rapes and shames the 30 series in and out. The 4090 is the best gen leap we ever had, even greater than going from 980 ti to 1080ti. FACT.
the difference is you can get a 3080 for less than 400 bucks while the 4090 is 1600@@AdiiS

then the hassle with Win10 (recent ssd issues and another problem with bluescreens just recently).
we haven't seen proper benchmarks yet and i want to see benches without RT how the performance compares to say 1080, RX 5700 etc. and AMD hasn't shown their new lineup yet, performance/price is the deciding factor for me :)

Pc is like Android you only get the best of best when you have a top of the line flagship phone and the software isn’t optimized for that that specific device because there is so many different alternatives so the budget pc suffers but consoles on the the other and are like iOS the software is built specifically for that hardware and the apps are fully optimized so they don’t need a lot of hardware

You have got to do something to stop scalpers. It gets worse every year. There are multiple RTX 3080 Founders Edition cards on eBay right now for $50,000+ The highest bid I see right now is $75,400. This just encourages more people next year when the 3080 TI releases to figure out how to make bots auto buy these cards for them just so they can resell them. I refreshed every second and went from "Notify Me" Or "Coming Soon" to the next second seeing "Sold Out" everywhere. This is messed up. To see so many people just flipping them on eBay instead of actually using them makes my heart break.

It’s actually pretty cheap for what they’re giving,the 3080 costs $699 and the 3070 costs $499 which is the one I’m getting. And the graphics cards are better than the 2080ti so yeah. Problem is that it will probably sell out pretty quickly because of its cheap price.
