Joy Week 1: Mephibosheth

When I think about joy, I can’t help but think of the story of Mephibosheth. An enemy to the king, crippled and unable to do anything about it. Living in fear of potential judgment from the new king, knowing his life could be on the line. Then he is ushered into a new life by one act of David. David remembers his promise and fulfills it.
And David said, “Is there still anyone left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?” - 2 Samuel 9:1 (ESV)
