a reason why your army was not dying is because you're using 7k hp enemies on bosses that deals at max 400 damage at a time, with some of them not having pierce.
Yeah, people tends to forgot that just like dark souls games, enemies aren't dealing boatloads of dmg, your character just have small amount of hp compared to them.
That's why summon enemies mod for like this for both games break the balance horribly.I once beat Ng+7 elden beast with nothing but 20 rune bears lol.

E: An idea on how to balance it out is max mana, similarly how in the manhwa and anime. And have souls just a one time thing like an unlock, like summon the last 3-4 types of mobs and your army, and all mana regen is disabled while the army is out, and when yyour summon dies it gets resummoned using your mana. The stronger the mob (normal-elite-miniboss) the more mana it would require to summon and resummon. It would be cool to actually build a melee character with max mana augments. Also removing the hp buffs on the summons should be a must, or like keep them only on the weakest mobs, like slimes.
Alternatively: Don't balance it because it's canonically meant to be absolutely broken

Idk about everyone else but personally if this mod was ever officially released it would be a super fun play through.
I think a good addition would be when a minion dies, it takes a set amount of mana (like 3 or something, maybe more for stronger mobs) and it will return to a soul state for you to right click again and resummon, like how sung Jin woo can constantly resummon until he’s out of mana.
Ayyyy the editing is good and not over the top :O Ive said before when you got editors to edit for you that the style was too much, but I can see clear changes and your personality is front and center. This is why ive been subbed since the early days and stayed around for. Big up to the editor, mod creator and you for making it better, keep grinding and earning that dough, you deserve it:)
i feel like if you want to make a solo leveling mod it has to be a huge content mod rather than just adding sung jin woo's abilities. terraria was not built around summoning creatures that you've killed and making them stronger than the original form. there's a summoner class that can summon enemies as pets that help you fight, but by themselves they're awful. they need class armor, class weapons, specific accessories and reforges.
so basically you need to make a solo leveling mod, rather than just a shadow monarch mod. (which is what this is.)
IMO a good way to implement solo leveling classes into this is like this:
at the start of the game, you choose what class you want to play as
- healer
- tank
- dps
- scout
- assassin
- mining/collecting team
(this mod pack would heavily be recommended for multiplayer)
as you beat bosses and or do class specific quests you get upgrades to your class or can choose class branches. this is something that's shown even in solo leveling itself where when you get a second awakening your class either gets buffed heavily, or you re awaken as a new class.
the mod's bosses can be either random bosses you make up, or it could just be bosses from dungeons in solo leveling/ragnarok. there can be dungeon events that spawn random and or progress specific gates to boost your gameplay, as well as activated dungeons similar to what sung jin woo got to use in order to go back into the double dungeon, enter hapjeon station and conquer the demon tower.
there can also be dungeon breaks all throughout the cave systems that have special enemies and loot around, and possible mini bosses. as well as new ore that you can mine within dungeons (being mana crystals) with different tiers of crystals needing certain rank requirements. this is where the mining/collecting team sort of comes in. as a miner or collector, you get buffs to obtaining these crystals and getting loot from harvesting certain enemies, while also getting buffs while caving and exploring.
this does not mean it's impossible to get materials without a miner/collector, but it would definitely help.

This wouldnt be "Solo Leveling" solo leveling is all about him Solo clearing enemies with his abilities he only relied on other awakened maybe 1 or 2 times after getting his powers, the only thing that would be needed to make this more like Solo Leveling would be randomized dungeons with E-S rank . What you are suggesting is a RPG Mod but with Jin woos powers. Its called "SOLO LEVELING" meaning by yourself. The classes would have to apply to the summons not the player.

A great idea. Could balance around mana usage, and increase stats by using accessory slots, anong other things. I hope yall can make it work and release it. Long term maybe even some bosses could be added.
I feel like a few ways it could be balenced by making the summons take more damage and have less health than the real enemies and need mana to comeback after dying but they get stunned while healing and can’t attack also instead of having a 90% chance to get a soul you have to go to the soul and have 3 chance to get it or else it disappears and it should be based on how strong you are compared to the enemy or boss

This could be a very cool mod to add to terraria, since this mod isn't fully made yet and has room to create, in one way the mod could act as a template for a new class, aka the necromancer class that either stems from summoner, or is a whole new class with weapons and special items and class features like shown in the video and addtion to it via a lesser system. The system from solo leveling could be developed to add and add to said necromancer class, that others can have in popular mod overhauls (calamity, ect.) and for the system to be the class changer, or even a class modifier so that the system effects all stats/classes not just the necromancer. But that means more balancing, which is good when developing a solo leveling mod overhaul, with portals, maps/biomes, and obviously weapons, artifacts (trinkets/accessories) and bosses. And more depth like npc hunters, also with a functional level up system for the player. But again not that compatible. Although compatibility is sourced from how its made obviously the compatibility for it to be in other mod overhaul is less likely done that way. The reason why I explain compatibility is stated below.
So my suggestion is that the initial mod will be a compatible one that does add a lot of new stuff but doesn't change to much of the game, and gameplay, which means less of a in depth system addition take also with npc hunters and level up system and maps with guilds and very simple economic additions with boss/portal events that the player and npc's can be apart of but can be fine additions to a solo leveling overhaul.
And that could a good way to go about if the solo leveling mod overhaul idea is the way the developers for the mod want to go in and become, and in short terms, become a linear-ish story overhaul with dialogue, cutscenes with campaign style events that tie into gameplay mechanics and story/game but again that might be too much and won't become much of a repayable/compatible mod.
And for the mod to be more of a pack of solo leveling items, bosses, npc's, areas/portals, and abilities all of such with cool af sfx/vfx and a lesser system with short quests that tie into boss quests/npc's and progression. The abilities that can have sorta like a upgrade tree within the system or having abilities that are from or are inspired from enemies/bosses gainable with said system/quests, which add more functionality with other play styles/classes.
besides that the original game already has features that solo leveling has like boss drops, weapons/items to make 'n take. So making the mod more or less like as I stated without being a total overhaul could be the best start for the mod that the developers get to create something they love while also pushing out there project into other mods that will increase the popularity and give variation to style of gameplay and serve as a foundation for a future solo leveling overhaul/story mode mod in terraria.

if you want to take full advantage of solo leveling you would have to set the leveling to exp based and stat gains, rather than than by bosses beat. Though to use this you will have to make a sort of minion page so you can despawn units if you need. And something that boost the amount of units that can be on screen.
Of course just pointing out how to follow the cannon of solo leveling. And you can have all the stats of that too. But making speed work perperly will be really hard unless you majorly change the combat.

You should add Shadowflame Hades Dye to the minions so they look more like the Solo Leveling shadows, and stands more out so you don't confuse them for normal enemies.
Maybe even progression from Normal hades to Shadowflame Hades after hardmode? Would be lore accurate at least.

I think it could be more balanced and have items that are only for this class, items to buff souls, and if you spend mana to have souls.
there could be items or armor that increases the amount of mana or that they reduce the mana used by souls, an item that occurs to me would be the monarch's heart, I think it would be cool to see Solo leveling items, a more balanced system and more bosses, and a recolor of the souls, making them look dark like in the mamwha.
