- Today i am building inside of the thermaltake view 270 hydrangea case using the PNY XLR8 Geforce RTX 4080 Super however things do not go as planned. We are confronted with a weird issue i have never encountered before and i have still not found the issue. This pc issue was causing it to not boot in certain motherboards but boot or post with others, i hope you guys may have some suggestions.

i also encountered weird issues like these and usually updating the bios fixes it.
i recommend to test everything on the desk and update the bios before full assembly :)

Warning ⚠️ some z790 motherboard's slow your gpu down from 16x to 8x if you use the top nvme slot
The blue color reminds me of the Epsilon program in GTA 5. Kifflom.
Hey I ran into the same problem before with I think that exact board and it was the top NVME slot. It was using the same lanes or something as the x16 slot. Had to move it and it booted.
White parts with cyan color is the best combo to ever exist
Had the same issue when updating to the latest bios on my MSI B650i. Apparently it didn't like the 4070/80 cards but would work when rolled back to original bios.

I wonder if there some kind of Bios setting on the Gigabyte MB for pcie slots like x2 set by default instead of x4 or x8 or x16 or resizable bar turned off
Yeah could be, next step is to try playing more with bios
I like the blue/white combo, nice contrast. This build would look good with the Zotac 4080 Super Trinity OC White Edition.

I got the same error and i had to run one ram and use the igpu to set the ram-speed manually in bios. Then it fired right up.

I've actually encountered this as well. for me personally it ended up being the PSU as I've had at least 4 motherboard connected to it fail and not turn on again.
Oh wow thats interesting, i did try a different psu so must be a different issue in this case
Try updating bios version of the z790

Great video sorry you had to go through all that trouble shooting but atlest you had all the parts to swap in and out it could of been worse

Seems to me like z790 mobo's are nothing but issues. These should come out of box with latest bios fixing the issues
Yeah its an odd lineup, one thing i have not tried yet is bios updates or rollbacks
The Z series is weird somehow I always get the B series Aorus boards to work better. Oh and turn off Bluetooth it messes up everything.

The Z790 Aorus Elite needs F7 bios to support 14th GEN CPU's. The Z790 Aorus Elite AX W needs bios F2/F3 to support 14th GEN. Are your boards updated?
Yes those motherboards are up to date, iv used them in previous builds with 14th gen cpus

You need to install windows first and the vga light is off

Gigabyte and MSI are both trash. Just use ASUS and Asrock for top performance.
