Worldbuilding food can be really fun for fantasy. The ingredients used for cooking might also be used in potions or spells for my magic system as well. I also really like to go deep into the worldbuilding for food. How are plants grown/farmed? What animals are raised for food? Etc. For example, there's a species of grapes grown in graveyards by necromancers because the juice from these grapes boosts their spiritual magic.

12:45 Reminds me of a scene i want to fit into my story; The disguise unexpectedly worked. For the further espionage Tartarus helpfully got invited to a dinner from the very planetary leader he was spying on. No that he was slowly gaining all the information he needed from the drunk planetary leader his job would be done much quicker. When it came to the aperitif on silver twigs he should have paid more attention and didn’t see that the other people didn’t eat those to. Luckily with all around him drunk, no one noticed. The advantage of a purpose built body even though he was using it for the wrong task was not getting intoxicated. He already was nervous because the staff was touching the guests a lot and were very suggestive. It not only disgusted him but hoped that none would notice his scale as not just extravagant clothing instead of his actual skin and he attended to the dinner naked, so as to not alert the weapon scanners. A jung woman came to offer him more of the snacks and drinks. The picture he thought must have been bizarre, since he was about one meter taller then the other people. Again no one seemed to find this suspicious. It went so well, Tartarus was convinced that this was a trap. Despite his nearly 50 years experience of getting trapped , being trapped , or breaking out of traps, everything here seemed genuine, which just further unsettled him. At the very least he would be able to lay waste to everything normal humans could bring into that room. He went to his target. Face down on the table, not responsive, vital organs made no sound. Everything went to well. Now that lord Pledor regent of the Selmeky system was dead the wounded get any more information. The power vacuum would less to infighting and just flip everything on its head. Tartarus waved the staff over. Maybe this was the trap, he thought. Maybe they wanted to frame him. Option 1. stay in “disguise” and play along, or option 2. now that everything was routined, tear the room apart to end this disgusting display of excess. Both would end in diplomatic scandals if his assumption of this being the plan all along were correct.
Hey there! I'm a newbie author and I'd like to discuss and get more help regarding those tips. Do you have a discord where we can do that with you? Thanks!
Thank you for reaching out. Currently, I do not have that no. I'm slowly expanding my offers/communication methods. As of now, this is TH-cam videos, the TH-cam community wall, and my weekly newsletter: thetaletinkerer.com/newsletter/ I'll definitely make everyone aware when I'm introducing anything new here 🙂
Some great ideas. The value was in the content, not the presentation. My tip would be to talk more calmly, and less exited American. It was tiring to listen to.

Great tips. I especially like the switching perspective ones. Both character pov and the last one through unique narrators.

Thank you for the kind words. Glad to hear there was something useful for you to find in the video :)
❤❤❤ Cliff hanger endings!
The setting itself as narrator, incredible example of this is the Shivers skill in Disco Elysium

To me, a non english speaker, it was easy to understand. And in a good pace, not boring.
