I have the pipe, the trick is to fill only about 70% of the pen, remove from the ink and then draw what's left in the pipe into the pen. Otherwise as soon as the pipe is pulled off, the vacuum is broken and it all rushes out.

This will be so useful when refilling from the tiny ferris wheel ink chargers because my converter or pen will not fit at all. Cannot wait to buy that as well. Glad to see i am not the only person who ends up with more ink on fingers than in the pen. Lol. Thanks for another great video.

Yes!! Great point. It takes a little practice to get it right but it’s a cool gadge.

Thank you for the demonstration on how to use the pipe. I’m brand new to the fountain pen world and this was a huge help! I don’t want to make a mess with my new TWSBI ALR pen so I picked up the pipe as well.

My pleasure! Do note that it takes some practice to do it cleanly!! I might even suggest practising with some water instead of ink first .....

To avoid mess i'd suck a bit of air at the end to suck all the leftover ink in the syringe away from the bottle.
like for the last 20-10% just pull the syringe out and keep pulling ink

How would you flush the pipe? I have one, but haven’t tried it yet.

To clean it? I just throw it under the tap.

@@KnightsWritingCompany I'm surprised the surface tension doesn't prevent it from being filled.
