Don't worry you will get better. I was vegetarian vegan and pescotarian off and on for over 25 years. It was when I went vegan this last time I realized how deficient I was. I now eat meat. I had the most horrible hive breakouts , its been 2 years since I've been eating meat and I have no breakouts anymore. My body became so sensitive to anything I ate. Literally everytime I ate I had a horrible break out. My body gained muscle without me exercising once I changed my diet. You should watch the channel vegan deterioration she has a lot of vegan stories from different peoples perspective also groatis and sveirge channel. I may have spelled the last one wrong. You are not alone. I hope you heal 🙏 soon.

Tyrell, I am praying for your perseverance. I understand 100%. I tried a vegan diet for a while but I lost too much weight, relied on carbs too much, and it zapped my energy. I think a vegan diet has many amazing benefits, but our biome needs certain things. I would suggest simply making sure you still get a good amount of veggies, fruits, and legumes. Take it one day at a time. 😊 hello, Argos!

What's up Tyrell!! Started watching your video with Argos because my family and I are thinking of getting a lab pit mix. Cool video and funny as hell when you dressed him up for his birthday and Halloween together. Saw this video and wanted to help out. You seem like a mad cool dude and hate to see bad things happen to good people. Yes definitely avoid wheat at all costs. Gluten causes alot of inflammation in the body. I hear ya about Gardein. Almost everything has wheat or soy. For that it has to be the veggie or black bean burgers. Make sure to always check the labels. Stop dairy altogether. Try coconut milk, oatmilk, almond if you don't have an allergy towards it. Chobani makes an awesome plant based milk and coffee creamer which is delicious. Try to incorporate a prebiotic and probiotic to cleanse and feed your gut with good bacteria. Try kimchi, sauerkraut, yogurt but make sure it has no dairy. Brands like So Delicious are good for that. Going vegan is good but again tons of wheat and people don't realize that. Eat your veggies dude. Broccoli, kale, brussel sprouts all the good green cruciferous ones. I hope this helps out a little bit. It's not a diet, your making a lifestyle change for the better. Try and shop at Whole Foods if there is one near you. I also shop at Sprouts. I'm in Charlotte. A more natural store, organic non GMO's. Hope you feel better. Argos and the people in your life need ya. Peace out brother.

Hey.. thanks for sharing your story. I listened to it properly. To let you know I have failed on a vegan diet 2 times before becoming successful the third time..
It's a very hard diet but also when you do get it right it's the optimal diet to prevent heart disease and cancer. I feel at the peak of my calisthenics sessions.
If you still want to go back to vegan diet I can help you..
@11:50 you said about Vitamin D.. That's right natural sources of vitamin D is fish, eggs and liver. Either eat them more regularly or take a supplement. Anyway Americans are deficient in vitamin D.. but anyway I am here to help whether you choose vegan diet or omnivore diet..
@12:15 You said which was probably connected to depression. Depression is extremely complex subject. You can get help with r/depression on reddit but my opinion would be to spend less time on screen and TH-cam or in your house and go out interact with people more face to face.
@12:30 Stomach hurts because we consume fake meat and refined bread and products. Every food that does not naturally exist in nature is a GUT KILLER. sooner or later you develop IBS. My opinion here would be to eat natural, whether you choose meat or plants does not matter but eat natural whole cooked foods at home.
@12:45 Meat produces a lot of heat in the body. Since you stopped eating it you were more cold. This is talked in Ayurveda. If you want to feel warm you will need to eat nuts and mangoes for heat in the body. There is complex reaction behind all this. But Eating mangoes in excess will cause stomach problems again because gut does not tolerate high fructose in diet which comes in fruit.
@13:20 Doctor says it on the basis of range. It's always advisable to look at the blood test yourself just to check whether you are on the lower end of normal range or too high end in the normal range. For example Vit D and B12 people don't feel alright even in the normal range but towards the lower end of 'normal'.
@13:50 Taking multivitamins regularly without any reason can cause toxicity in blood creating numerous problems. It's only B12, low dose of Vit and omega 3(EPA,DHA) from algae capsules you are supposed to take. But I will tell you more about it since vegan diet is very hard.
@17:10 Yes, wheat was introduced in the human diet very recently in the industrial era. I also avoid dairy and gluten products. I go for oats.
@18:00 Yes, again a random vegan does not tell you that you also will have thyroid problems unless you eat sea weed regularly, but then again you can overdose. So I go for iodized salt.. I add salt in my food so I get enough iodine from diet through iodized salt. Very common among vegetarian population to use iodized salt in their food.
@18:30 Since I see you are dealing with stress and pressure, don't go on a vegan diet. Eat a balanced omnivore diet with more plants in it. You did water fasting on a vegan diet, definitely not needed since it's already high in antioxidants.. Fasting is awesome for people who eat lot of meat and they find health improvements through it.. But on a whole food vegan diet fasting will cause problems because of not eating enough, and since it's already high in antioxidants.
@18:50 Totally agreed... vegan diet is extremely hard for people who don't know what they are doing.. I failed 2 times before getting it right the third time... You will need to track your nutrition on cronometer and you will see that daily you are not hitting your requirements.. don't get me wrong.. I still learnt all of it and now I find it easy because now I know what I need to eat in order to get everything without stuffing too much food.
@19:40 exactly.. natural sources over supplements.. but you need to see what price your body pays.. it's complex.. despite of failing two times I am still on a vegan diet because my calisthenics performance are through the roof on it, plus I don't want to trigger cancer or heart disease on a omnivore diet..but no need to be afraid. You don't need to live a optimal life.. Just eat a balanced omnivore diet.. mediterranean style..learn the patterns from the blue zones on how much meat to eat without overdosing.
@20:00 on a vegan diet if you need 100+ gms of protein per day, you will need to eat boiled lentils two times a day.. and nope you can't eat it all at one meal.. you need to eat three times a day.. breakfast oats, lunch and dinner being lentils, veggies and oats both times..
@22:30 don't eat processed food from supermarkets which have gluten..
@22:45 One meal a day a very bad idea on a vegan diet. In long run it will cause acidity problems even on a omnivore diet.. Eat three times a day.. But if you eat too much meat then yea fasting is alright.
@22:55 Don't eat processed pizza whether it's vegan or not does not matter.. bring discipline in life eat outside food only once a month. Remember that every time you eat processed food vegan or not is gut killer. It all sounds extreme but I see since you are suffering so I think you are ready to incorparte some discipline in your life.. I do have friends who drink coca cola and burger daily and they are alright.. but that's rare... In general people suffer eventually.
@23:18 nope.. cook your own food at home
@23:40 bloating is very common even among omnivores.. you can see Mr Olympia tucking in their bellies..regarding Fiber your body eventually gets used to fiber in 6 months.
@25:00 soy is good.. what you hear on internet is Bro science.. longest living populations japan eat a lot of soy.. estrogen in soy is plant estrogen.. estrogen from milk is the one that we should be concerned about which does cause hormonal problems.
@25:30 sir get off processed stuff.. You are eating a lot of them. eat a healthy omnivore diet..
@27:22 Alright let me help you.. eat home cooked chicken 4 times a week.. eat home cooked fish 3 times a week.. eggs 2-3 times a week.. (eggs can cause gut problems in some people).. and eat beans veggies oats.. you will be fine.. your health problems will go away.. but do supplement vitamin D occasionally..
but if you want to give veganism a try again.. Then you must use cronometer. To give you an idea... Breakfast : Oats, berries , 2 table spoon of each -
    1. ground - Flax seeds, Sunflower Seeds, hemp seeds, Chia seeds, pumpkin seeds.. after grinding them up I mix it in oats..
    plus few walnuts.. That's breakfast..
    2. Lunch - Boiled lentils (boiled in pressure cooker for 1 hour.) 1 brinjal , some mushrooms, whatever else veggie you want to add, and oats..
3- Dinner same as lunch but I add whole boiled soya chunks..
Supplements - 1. B12 sublingual (under the tongue)
    2. Vit D low dose depending on the Sun you get..daily
    3. Omega EPA/DHA low dose from algae daily..
    4. iodized salt in your food..
USE CRONOMETER.. plus to be at peak of your body.. good to supplement B complex ONLY ONCE a week.. do more and you suffer..
All the best... If it all seems hard.. yes it is that's what no one tells you... but why I do it?? because it's superb for longevity and health.. and performance.. But if you are suffering from depression I would highly suggest to not push yourself and instead eat a omnivore diet.. get social with people talk with them face to face.. improve other aspects of your life..
    all the best buddy..

Wheat, along with other grains contain a lot of glyphosates and it is tearing up a lot of people's stomachs. I would switch to rice and potatoes and leave corn, wheat, and maybe even beans off of the table for now. The vegan diet has so many anti nutrients like phytates. Almond milk has phytates and lectins, which bind to minerals in the food you eat thus inhibiting absorption.

    • @TyrellFrye
      @TyrellFrye  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Can you explain that almond milk a little bit more?

    • @JohnJohnson-wy6fk
      @JohnJohnson-wy6fk 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@TyrellFrye when you eat foods high in phytic acid (almonds) , they bind to minerals like zinc, calcium, magnesium, and iron in the intestinal tract before you can absorb them and they are excreted with these minerals attached. This can cause deficiencies. You cannot absorb these minerals once they bind with phytic acid, because human do not naturally possess the enzymes required for breaking them down from food ( phytase is the enzyme)you will just excrete them and if you take almond with certain supplements it will lower the availability depending on the nutrient.
Lectins will bind to carbs and other vitamins and are high resistant to human digestion.
All of this to say that these foods will rob you of micronutrients rather than replenish them. Seeds do not want to be eaten and these are their defense strategies

I never thought I might be allergic to gluten and wheat until now so that's something I'm going to keep an eye on now. I went vegan 9 months ago and for the most part its been great but I also workout 5-6 times a week and I noticed over the past few months im struggling to add muscle or even maintain what I already have since I went vegan. I'm going to slowly add in a couple animal products (grilled chicken, eggs) a few times a week to see if it makes a difference. Prayers up bro you aren't alone.

There are legit sources online to show this. For further peace of mind there is not even oestrogen in soya milk. On the flip side, Soya has been a staple for some of the oldest and healthiest communities ever. for example, the Okinawans (Japan), are 98% plant-based and live 10 years longer than everyone else. My girlfriend was drinking soy milk in the coffee and after a moth her breasts were getting super sensitive, the same with flax ,they both are super estrogenic the beer as well. Leave the stupid studies ,many times they dont show anything ,trust the body .The body has more wisdom than so called '' experts'' who changing their mind and finding knew things every 3 months.

If being vegan is too harsh on your health, consider switching to vegetarian or pescatarian. Fish has a lot of protein and omega 3 fatty acids, mix it up with some free-range eggs and you will feel better. My favorite meal in the morning is a piece of integral toast with salmon, avocado and a poached egg, sometimes I put tuna or some other type of fish, but it is the most nutritious breakfast you could have and it’s so easy to make.

In may last year i stopped being vegan after 2 years, 10 months later 95% animal based and the best i've ever felt
Truth is that most plants are full of defence chemicals like oxalates, lectins and anti nutrients (phytic acid), vegans will say ridiculous things like 'why eat animals when you can get protein directly from the source'. Humans don't have the digestive tracks like cows do, we on the other hand are able to digest meat and absorb the nutrients from there because it's our natural diet
Saturated fat and cholesterol is essential for healthy sex hormones and testosterone production and the vegan diet has none of it, not to mention how plant foods have no vitamin A, B6, B12, D, F OR K2 and multiple amino acids such as creatine which is essential for building muscle. High quality animal products that are grass fed, organic etc. will always be the best foods for nourishment and overall health (our brains are made out saturated fat and vegans want you to be scared of it, makes no sense right?)
When it comes to the issues with gut health and inflammatory foods continue staying away from gluten, there's no nutrients and minerals in it anyways the body doesn't want it or need it. Pasteurised dairy is also something you should stay away from unless it's high quality (sheep/goats is more digestible than cow)

You may very well have gluten issues, but these can be tested for and avoided if necessary.
You do what you have to do. However, the idea of missing nutrients on vegan diets is not true. There are f'sure nutrients to keep an eye on (and the normal b12 and D), but this is the 'well-planned' that is referred to by various health advisors in regard to eating a vegan diet.

The vegan diet does not provide enough Magnesium, Iron, Vitamin B12, Zinc, DHA, EPA, calcium (without the oxalates from Spinach, Kale etc) etc

A vegan diet is really only good for a temporary detox imo. Maybe do it a month or two a year. We're omnivores and function best when we eat a wide variety of foods. There are just too many beneficial nutrients that aren't in plants. You might also want to look into eating for blood type. A lot of us that are of African descent are blood type O. It's said that's the "hunter gatherer" blood type. So it's said people with this blood type thrive on a diet of foods you either hunt, catch, or pick off a tree or bush. So basically meat and fruits.

Tyrell, you are dealing with a lot. Please prioritize your health over diet. When you are feeling better, do try a vegan diet again if you desire. I agree with your nutritionist. It sounds like you have a gluten intolerance. This does make maintaining a vegan diet more complex, but not impossible. Here are a couple of tips for trying out a vegan diet again:
    1) Supplement at least a couple of times a week with a chewable vitamin B12 supplement (at least 2500 micrograms per week).
    2) Additional supplements that are not required but good to take: vegan D3 (at least 2000IU) and DHA/EPA (at least 200 mg) at least a couple of times a week. Also try to include chia or flax every day (good sources of ALA). These omega 3 fats decrease inflammation.
    3) protein is your friend. Don’t believe the bro science. Soy is healthy and nutritious. It’s the only plant based complete protein (same as animal products)! Tofu, soy milk, soy protein powder are all tasty. I easily get at least 120g of protein each day focusing on soy products.
    I hope you are well.

This is a clssic example of a "nutritionist" who doesn't have a clue wtf they're talking about. To say that you CAN'T get all the nutrients from vegan is a disgrace and they should stop seeing clients until they educate themselves. Eating animal products is linked to low thyroid. How many animal eaters have low thyroid? Millions of them. The only nutrient which you probably weren't getting that you need for thyroid is iodine. Honestly my guy I think maybe you are jumping off board a bit prematurely and not looking to just alter your plant based diet if you think it has things to be improved upon . Reality Is like you said in the comment section numerous times everyone’s body is different and to add to that everyone’s body is imperfect in different ways. You are aging and going through cycles of change like everyone else it’s just reality, no diet will make you feel perfect all the time and we all will have some issues regardless of diet most will come and go some are genetic and will be harder to overcome if they can be overcome. You could be facing the very same issues regardless of diet. While it is an important factor in health it doesn’t create or solve all problems within the body. Anyway putting foods like eggs that promote inflammation back into your diet in order to heal and prevent inflammation is counterintuitive.
Honestly man you said so many things in this video that were factually incorrect. “Protein on a vegan diet comes from carbs” how does this make sense, those are separate macronutrients and plenty of vegan protein sources are relatively low in carbs like pumpkin and hemp seeds. Eating protein with carbs is what basically every human does I.e. ham sandwich or steak and potatoes. “Vegan diets just don’t give you certain nutrients” literally every nutrient the human body needs is either available from plants or the body can synthesize it from building block nutrients from plants(with the exception of vitamin d which is obviously a sunlight issue, and vitamin b12 which is neither plant or animal obtained, those two are a problem just due to the modern lifestyle and should be supplemented by everyone to be safe regardless of diet, I may sure you know this they even supplement the livestock with b12 because they are fed antibiotics which destroy it in the gut, one of the reasons many humans have a lifelong deficiency...they have had multiple cycles of antibiotics.)”Soy isn’t good for men because it has estrogen” first of all it has phytoestrogens which mimic estrogen with the plant but aren’t biologically the same and which have been studied and don’t impact the production of testosterone in the body. They are also found in other plants I do believe. Reality is milk and even meat contain actual mammalian estrogen which does have endocrine disrupting potential and can effect hormone production“I just can’t gain muscle on a vegan diet” this one haha I would buy from other people, but come on man you are a big guy already muscle isn’t a problem for you that’s obvious, we have a limit in terms of how much muscle we will gain naturally you are probably just about there everyone plateaus and even declines and if they don’t make extreme efforts after a certain period of time and age to keep it on. Most of those people who are insanely ripped and able to seeming keep packing on the muscle...one of two things is going on, steroids or they are just genetically freakish.
You always seemed like such a great guy and I’m just trying to help. I have watched your typical day diet videos, you weren’t eating a Whole Foods die, and vegan or not processed food isn’t good. bloating also can be caused by too much sodium something to consider all those processed foods can be crazy high in sodium . I just don’t want to see you making decisions because you don’t feel good “which I understand” and are listening to sketchy information (which can be disproven not just disputed) and a nutritionist which may have poor training and or preconceived ideas and biases against plant based diets. I have been vegan for 15 years watched my body change mostly for the better, but of course I have issues like anyone else. We sometimes expect a diet to be a silver bullet cure to all our ailments and potential pitfalls in terms of health. Reality is that just won’t happen. Good luck though my friend.

    • @TyrellFrye
      @TyrellFrye  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I appreciate your comment. It’s a lot to respond to but most of the “high protein” foods on a vegan diet comes beans. Beans have about more carbs than protein especially when eating lots of it. Adding rice to the beans makes up for more carbs. I track my macros and on average I’ll finish the day with 275-285 carbs and 90 grams of protein. Those are on days that I eat beyond burgers which gives me around 20-25 grams of protein but also 16-20 grams of fats. Add in bananas, toast, almond milk and that’s even more carbs. I’m not the biggest fan of tofu because of the high amounts of soy.
It’s not about me feeling perfect it’s about me feeling better than I am currently. Everything doesn’t work for everyone. I definitely appreciate you watching and commenting. Much love brother

@@TyrellFrye Have you considered carnivore? You can get a lot of information about it by watching videos by Dr. Ken Berry, Black Carnivore, the Diet Doctor, Dr. Anthony Chaffee, Dr. Paul Mason, Dr. David Unwin, Dr. Gary Fettke, Dr. Georgia Ede, Judy Cho, There are also specific videos regarding psoriasis.
I am also gluten and lactose intolerant. I had out-of-control blood pressure, elevated blood sugar and severe acid reflux. I had back and neck pain and pain, tendon and joint pain that just wouldn't go away. I know from personal experience that health issues can really depress you and make life seem miserable. After 3 days on carnivore to try to resolve my extreme acid reflux (it was absolutely unbearable) I got out of bed and noticed that I didn't have any back, tendon or joint pain. I hadn't expected that. After 1-2 weeks, my blood pressure (which I couldn't control even though my doctor had increased the dosages of my medication), was under control. As for my blood sugar, I am due to get that measured (HbA1c) at my next appointment, as well as having them measure my resting insulin levels, and doing a C Peptide test. Since I haven't been eating any carbohydrates, I imagine these values will also be lowered to normal ranges.
I recognize that though the vegan diet is often better than the typical Western diet or the Standard American Diet (SAD), unfortunately, it cannot provide all of the nutrients that we need as humans.
Meat and meat products such as beef, eggs, poultry, fish and seafood can supply all of the nutrients your body needs (carbohydrate is not an essential nutrient). ALL vitamins and nutrients are bioavailable in these foods, including Vitamin C (in chicken liver, clams and salmon roe). And you can have all of the nutrients without having to consume any dairy at all.
Other than cutting out carbs and sugar, cutting out seed oils will get rid of those last vestiges of inflammation.
Carnivore is not usually for people who want to lose weight, even though that is one of the benefits. People try carnivore to resolve health issues, especially metabolic and auto-immune issues (such as psoriasis), that have been caused by high carbohydrate, often high sugar (including hidden sugars) and seed oil intake. I know it may sound crazy after all of the advice we've been given over decades regarding fat (especially saturated fat) and animal protein, especially in the form of red meat, but I really would ask you to watch some videos, get some information, and seriously consider it. I suggest this only because you have health issues. If that had not been the case, I wouldn't make any suggestions at all regarding your dietary choices.
Strict carnivore (which is a great place to start) can at least act as a form of elimination diet. Consuming only beef, water and salt can help you cut out foods that may be causing or contributing to health issues.
I hope you'll watch the videos and inform yourself fully about carnivore.
      Wishing you all the best.

A few things. It sounds like you've had health problems throughout your life, even well before you were plant-based. Your situation reminds me "Vegetable Police", who has jumped from diet to diet, each time the new diet being "the right one", until 6-12 months later when he would change again due to health problems once again rising to the surface. The key point with him, and probably you, is that there's an underlying health condition going on that can be exacerbated by any diet, if it has certain triggers in it. In addition, you could have SIBO, or some other GI bacterial issues, etc., that have been triggered by certain specific foods, not just by being plant-based in general. Veganism is not a diet, but a philosophy, btw. As for your nutritionist/dietitian, there are many out there who really don't know what they're talking about, and have no clue on plant-based diets. She clearly is one of them. You need a new nutritionist. The fact that she told you to eat butter, and that you NEED animal products shows that she is grossly misinformed. Telling you to eat butter is just flat-out dangerous, long-term. If you're serious about "veganism", you should find a plant-based nutritionist to help you through your ways. Where there's a will, there's a way, and it can be done through a plant-based diet. You have to eat whole-food plant-based and nothing or almost zero processed things, not Moriningstar burgers, etc. You have to really eat 100% WFPB. And you can be plant-based and be gluten-free, as that might be one of your triggers. You kept talking about gluten and conflating it with plant-based, but they are not one and the same. (And it's easy to get more than 90 grams of protein btw. There are many plant-based athletes killin' it out there). I am commenting not with anger towards you, it just seems that you're way of thinking this through is quite flawed. Stay away from animal products, being "grass-fed" doesn't make them magical or uber-healthy, there's not a scientific consensus on that, only blogger BS. Stay away from dairy and try avoiding gluten in your case. You should follow "Nutrition Made Simple" on TH-cam, he's quite on point on nutrition, more so than your nutritionist. And find a new nutritionist....peace.....

You’re clearly biased in this case and that’s okay. Please don’t try to discredit others work and you have no idea who they are and what they stand for. I appreciate you for watching though. Have a great day ❤️
