- Well... this didn't go as planned. When we purchased a van to convert into our home away from home we knew it would be difficult, especially for us because we seem to have the worst luck in the world 😄 but we didn't expect it to go quite like this.

Oh boy I was feeling so bad for you two, who ever sold you this van should have giving you every penny back. It is literally a safety hazard on wheels with all that mold everywhere etc. If you have to drive it anywhere please wear a mask, leave the windows open. Be safe. Keeping my fingers crossed the next van is amazing, you guys deserve the best.

It's disgusting that they won't disclose they put poison everywhere when a family with a baby tells them they want it as a holiday van. It's evil enough to not disclose how bad the van was kept for someone who would use it for industrial stuff, but to endanger a child that licks everything. I'm furious. 🤬🤬🤬

That's actually such a vile thing to do. Not only did he sell you a van with mould on the electrical wire and seats, he sold you a van that had RAT POISON in it and not tell you. Who's sells a family with a couple month old baby a van with that much mould and rat poison. Absolutely disgusting.
I'm glad to hear you probably have a case in regards to this. This is devastating, unnerving and appalling that anyone would sell a van in this condition to anyone, let alone a family, who disclosed their reasoning behind such a purchase. I suggest, possibly getting a lawyer as well; unless one is being provided for you already.

I love what you’re doing with your van, but please be very careful to wear masks while cleaning. Mold and spores can harm you. Try to keep Koazy away from the area until it’s all cleaned. Best of luck to you and enjoy this new adventure in your life. 😊

The van was probably submerged in water( flood, hurricane etc) and totaled by insurance. Dealer bought it cheap. You have been scammed
They are British so it's not a hurricane which is good
How was this not safety checked but to elaborate on something I'm american I have no idea what they do over in Europe but it's common sense when you are selling something to someone it can't be borderline toxic. Two don't lie about the product and not cooperate properly when they ask questions. But to state the obvious it's a scam they overpriced it and also endangered the people who bought it they should sue the person who was selling it.

I love that they still do fun things like this with a young baby! It’s so easy to just say, “Oh I have a baby, time to be stay at home forever.” Can’t wait for more adventures, love y’all!
Especially since if you want to travel/van life with kids, it's the best when you do it with a toddler or child under 5.
They don't really need their own room or privacy at that point (they'll cling to you 24/7 anyways) and you don't need to take them out of school and disrupt their whole life. I'd also imagine that it can have benifits for a child's development, but I don't have anything to support that other than the fact that in general being outdoors is good.
It sucks how the old owner won't tell you what happened maybe you should talk to the company and tell them everything and that owner isn't saying and/or telling you anything, to see what they say. 😊

I am SO sorry this happened!!! Of course you have a case. Interesting that the people at the dealership never smelled anything!!! Other then all of the mold and spores and the rat poison, it is an extreme health hazard!!! Good luck to you both!!! The van that you do get, will be SO much better then this one, wait and see!!!😊
Selling a van like that is an extreme health hazard. If it were my dad selling a van like that he would've worked everyday to make it safe to use for the next person who uses it. He always makes sure a vehicle is safe for the next person if he has to sell one. He cleans the vehicle so much that it looks brand new for the next person.
I'm surprised the dealership didn't check out the vehicle and clean it for the next person to use. Most dealerships I know would clean the used vehicles to the best of their ability and check it for safety reasons. They probably don't wanna sell a vehicle that isn't safe for the person using it. If they did they could get sued or get into so much trouble because of it.
@@izoraiza7169 it was surface cleaned, it was probably refused by a detailer because of it's horrible condition.
It also has to be written down on the title if it's been through a flood or went for a dip in a river or whatever, dunno how they do stuff like that in the UK but that wouldn't fly here in Sweden. You have to write down every mechanic visit it's been through all the damage it's received literally the whole life of the vehicle.
Obviously people cheat on this part, but this van isn't worth more than a few 100 punds in it's condition, it's scrap value is higher than what you can sell it for a condition like this.
Unless you sell it to people who don't have a clue like these youtubers.

I sure hope you're able to get your money back from the seller of this van. They full well knew it was damaged. Looks like there was a flood and it was mostly submerged and recovered but not quickly enough. Glad you found this out and that you have a case. Looking forward to the "van conversion saga." I think that vehicle somewhere, somehow was ran into the water somewhere and dragged out and parked, when they decided to sell it, rats was living in it. They cleaned it out as much as they could and sold it as is without telling anyone.

The muck on the ceiling of where the seats are are probably caused from smoking, the smoke can end up leaving a nasty residue, it also leaves a nasty smell if built up so much

Get a huge bag of baking soda powder. Pour it around all the edges. Let it sit a few days. Vacuum it out. You can add a couple of drops of essential oils to the powder.
